Fem Wrestlers, Pistol Squats Are Number One With A Bullet

Boxes are something that you need to pack things into and think outside of.

The latter, creatively and often.

Building strong legs and thighs ultimately will be wonderful for your body since so many activities are propelled from there. The additional benefits are the more attractive shape and eye candy look.

There is a strong thigh kid on the block who is not new but very unique.

Creatively unique.

Her first name is Pistol. Her last name is Squat and yes she does know squat.

fciwomenswrestling.com, grapplingstars.com femcompertitor.com, photo via Pinterest.com

Very well but she has placed a different and slightly more difficult spin on it.

Have you tried her?

The benefits of performing and mastering the pistol squat are tremendous.

First off the pistol squat requires great balance, leg strength, flexibility and coordination. Chances are you will never see anyone get this movement on their first attempt due to the difficulty of the exercise.

In addition those that are able to perform a one legged squat have the leg strength to perform a barbell back squat with the equivalent of their body weight.

The informative fitness and muscle industry site breakingmuscle.com adds, “The pistol, or single-leg squat, is a unique exercise that combines strength, flexibility, and grace in a manner unlike many other movements. There are several pieces to the pistol puzzle, and proper execution requires mastery of each element.”

Exceptional advice. This muscles in from Chris Garay.

Mr. Garay is a trainer, educator, athlete, and musician based out of Annandale, Virginia. He grew up playing sports (soccer, basketball, and wrestling) in grade school, and then he shifted focus to music in high school and college. Chris became a world-class snare drummer, toured the country playing drum set, and currently teaches one of the best marching percussion ensembles in the world. Along the way, he earned a degree in philosophy and religious studies and pursued graduate studies in social psychology and well-being.

Now that was from someone with great expertise.

Now we need some inspiration.

The beautiful and fit site greatestphysiques.com introduces, “Juliana Mota a.k.a ‘jujubafit_’ is a Brazilian fitness model, who’s known for her muscular glutes, quads, and lean physique. She’s become increasingly popular online as a motivational fitness model, and a Bikini Wellness Competitor.

fciwomenswrestling.com, grapplingstars.com femcompertitor.com, photo via Beauty Muscle

Shortly after Juliana Mota moved to Paris, she began posting pictures and videos of her fitness journey online in 2015. Soon after, she gained a reputation as a strong and powerful woman with an incredible physique – her followers soon began to multiply.”

Ever since she started her fitness journey at the age of 15, and throughout her years of hard work in the gym, Juliana has gone from strength to strength.”

“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”… John F. Kennedy

To start a brilliant career at 15, you absolutely have to think outside of the box.

Just look at those gorgeous thighs.

fciwomenswrestling.com, grapplingstars.com femcompertitor.com, photo via lesfemmesdemesreves.blogspot.com

Juliana has thighs to live for and salivate over.

Hard work certainly pays off.

Then in our competitive female submission wrestling industry there is a fine example of a gorgeous girl with strong thighs in Jennifer Thomas.

fciwomenswrestling.com, grapplingstars.com femcompertitor.com, ladysports.com photo credit

Be careful in battle with her. She can crush you like a grape.

In terms of building some strong legs and gorgeous thighs, are you ready to think outside of the box?

Let’s go to the playbook and bring out the pistol.

Please enjoy.

No Other Exercise Will Work Your Legs As Hard As the Pistol Squat.

fciwomenswrestling.com, grapplingstars.com femcompertitor.com, photo via Zuzka-Light

By Matt Goss

Pistol Squats focusing primarily on your quads however its one of the best leg exercises around and no other exercise will work your legs as hard as they do.

So picture a one-legged squat to the floor in which your other leg held straight out in front of you. You lower all the way down to the ground and power back up all on one leg and if you’re doing it for the first time it can brutal!

This is why you should start implementing them into your workouts because this simple movement takes an enormous amount of strength, flexibility, and balance. Master these and you will be highly rewarded.

Technique Breakdown – Pistol Squat – Quadriceps

Start/Finish Position

Stand holding your arms straight out in front of your body at shoulder level, parallel to the floor.
Raise your right leg off the floor and hold it there.
Flex your right ankle so that your toes are higher than your heel.
Your right leg should be straight.
Brace your core.

Movement Phase

Push your hips back and lower your body as far as you can.
As you lower your body, raise your right leg so that it doesn’t touch the floor keep your head and chest straight.

Pause, then push your body back to the starting position.
Keep your torso as upright as possible.
Hold for a moment and repeat for desired repetitions.

Breathing Directions
Breathe in during the downward motion.
Breathe out during the upward motion.

For best results lowering the weight should take twice as long as raising it.
Keep your core active throughout.
Aim to hold your arms out and steady without swinging.

So if you’re attempting these for the first time you should begin using one of the two different strategies recommended here.

Strategy 1

Perform the movement using a bench or similar behind you so that when you bum touches it you know to start raising yourself back up to the starting position. This will train you to learn the movement in a smaller range of motion and as you gain strength and stability you can you can use lower and lower bench heights until you need them no more.

Strategy 2

Use a vertical support and using your hands to walk down the support as you lower one leg and then walk your hands back up as you raise yourself back to the starting position. However don’t pull yourself up using the vertical support, it’s only for balance not for leverage.

Either Strategy is fine to get you started on this the king of bodyweight leg exercises.

Female Sculpted Back

Exercises to Sculpt Your Back Muscles

fciwomenswrestling.com article, photo via Life and Pain

Your back muscles are very important to your posture and balance. Fitness exercises to sculpt your muscles will help you improve your posture and contribute to better balance. Strong back muscles will also help you avoid typical back strains from lifting. Practice doing a few simple exercises either at home or in the gym to increase muscle definition and strength.

An easy exercise called the Reverse Fly is ideal for strengthening and defining the muscles of the upper back. Stand up straight with your knees bent slightly, and then hold a 5 pound dumbbell in each hand. Bend forward with your waist, but keep your upper body as straight as possible. Allow your arms to hang toward the floor while holding the dumbbells, and concentrate on tightening the muscles of your upper back. Bend your elbows upward toward the ceiling until they are even with your shoulders. Hold the position for a count of roughly 10 seconds and then lower your arms down to a straight position. Repeat this exercise for 10 to 12 repetitions.

Arm and leg raises are effective exercises to develop the muscles of the lower back. Strain from lifting often manifests itself in this area as soreness, so strengthening these muscles can help prevent minor strains. Get on your hands and knees on the floor or an exercise mat, and then place your hands and knees at roughly shoulder width on the mat. Raise your left arm and lift and stretch out your right leg until they are even with your body. Tighten up your abs to help stabilize your position, and maintain this position for 5 seconds. Go back to the starting position, and repeat the exercise using the right arm and left leg. Complete repetitions on each side.

Rowing motions using dumbbells will work the muscles on the side of your body. This exercise will sculpt the muscles of your back and help trim your waist. Holding a 5 pound dumbbell in each hand, lean forward until your body makes a 45 degree angle. Hold the weights down at your side, tighten your back muscles and pull your elbows to the middle of your body. In a smooth motion, return your body to a standing position while bringing your arms to your side. Repeat this exercise for 12 to 15 repetitions.

You can tone and strengthen your back and sculpt your muscles for a lean and toned look by exercising at least 3 times each week using dumbbells. Skip a day between workouts to allow your muscles to properly recover and rebuild. As your strength increases and the exercises become easier, gradually increase the weight of the dumbbells so that the last repetition is difficult to do.

Vitamins When Beneficial

Young or mature it’s in all of our best interests to try and stay as healthy as we can.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, wikimedia photo

Many women turn to vitamin supplements to maintain, enhance or improve their health. While that may be a good idea in general are there certain aspects to this health improvement regime that we should be concerned about?

The informative site everydayhealth.com reports, “Nearly half of Americans take herbal or dietary supplements daily, and these over-the-counter products are a booming industry. Herbal dietary supplement sales reached $6 billion yearly, based on the most recent estimates by the American Botanical Council.”

fciwomenswrestling.com article, wikimedia photo

The consensus in the article speaks to areas of caution.

1. Vitamin D: Too Much Can Harm Your Kidneys

2. Calcium: The Excess Settles in Your Arteries

3. Fish Oil Supplements: Choose Fish or Flaxseed Instead

4. Kava-Kava: Side Effects Can Harm Your Liver

5. Soy Isolate: Careful With the Estrogen

Another article at hopkinsmedicine.org reminds, “Half of all American adults—including 70 percent of those age 65 and older—take a multivitamin or another vitamin or mineral supplement regularly. The total price tag exceeds $12 billion per year—money that Johns Hopkins nutrition experts say might be better spent on nutrient-packed foods like fruit, vegetables, whole grains and low-fat dairy products.”

When it comes to your health, it is always wise to do extensive research and not base your decision making upon one expert or one group’s thinking.

We would now like to turn our attention to a guest writer who writes about this important but somewhat subjective subject.

Vitamins To A Healthier You
 by: Linda Polansky

Do we really need to take vitamin supplements to stay healthy? Or can we get enough of the nutrient I need just by eating a balanced diet?

Well, my friend, it isn’t easy. You can ask anyone who hates eating their green leafy vegetables and who balks at the thought of eating broccoli for dinner.

Vitamins, multivitamins and supplements have been proven to provide a vast range of health benefits for your entire body.

A 2002 Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) study supports this claim. This conference, composed of experts from top research universities, experts from government agencies, and health advocacy organizations came to the conclusion that most Americans do not get the optimal level of important nutrients though diet alone. They recommended that multivitamins can well compensate for any gaps so that the necessary amount of nutrients needed by the body are met.

Not only are vitamins an accessible and affordable way to meet dietary requirements, they also provide other cost benefits.

A study entitled “Multi-Vitamins and Public Health” illustrated this. The results of the study indicated that in older adults, a daily regimen of taking vitamin supplements could provide more than $1.6 million in Medicare savings over the next five years. In addition, there are possible savings because of lesser hospitalizations for cancer, infection and heart attack.

Vitamins, Essential Minerals, Anti-oxidants and Herbs

fciwomenswrestling.com article, wikimedia photo

In this day and age, we are faced with pressures brought about by the modern world, in addition to the presence of free radicals. These put our bodies under so much pressure.

Vitamins can help as they ensure that we are ready to face the world and the pressures it brings. There is a wide variety of vitamins and antioxidants that can combat sickness and infection. Vitamin C ensures overall health and immunity. Vitamin E also enhances overall bodily health as well as cardiovascular and immune functions.

Essential Minerals include calcium (for muscle and bone health), magnesium (for healthy nerves and heart) and zinc (which boosts immune functions, cardiovascular, prostate and eye health).

Antioxidants such as coenzyme Q10, selenium and many others serve to defend our bodies from free radicals. Coenzyme Q10 helps in the producing cellular energy as well as ensuring heart and liver health. Selenium shows promise in reducing certain degenerative diseases such as cancer. It also promotes immune functioning. There are so many more that offer amazing health benefits.

Add to this list herbs that possess medicinal qualities. These should also be included in your armada to fight against sickness and free radicals. Chief among the herbs is garlic, which provides cardiovascular, cholesterol and blood pressure support. Ginseng on the other hand, gives energy and enhances endurance. Gingko biloba show promise in enhancing brain and memory function as well as providing support in the circulation of blood to extremities and the brain.

Indeed, there is supplement for almost any health concern.

Those were very nice well thought out expressions.

Let’s conclude with the thinking of a respected online source webmd.com. “Experts say there is definitely a place for vitamin or mineral supplements in our diets, but their primary function is to fill in small nutrient gaps. They are “supplements” intended to add to your diet, not take the place of real food or a healthy meal plan.”

Pursue Your Passion?

There is an eternal debate as to whether the dedication to your life’s passion is the only way to find a truly happy and meaningful life. This relentlessness could come at the expense of other valuable responsibilities which may include being at home for your children.

Is the pursuit of our passion the epitome of selfishness or is following through and leaping into our passionate pursuit the only true way to a happy, meaningful and satisfying life?

Most often it’s one or the other and you cannot have it both ways.

Today’s Female Submission Wrestlers generally has a varied life style that consists of modeling, fitness, wrestling and a heavy focus on sessions. Fortunately they can do all without sacrificing the quality of any. Still, to be exceptional at any of these endeavors, passion can be a powerful quality that separates the average from the magical.

Kymberly fciwomenswrestling.com article

What is passion exactly and how is it different from enthusiasm?

The latter question is easy. Passion tends to be long-term or life-long while enthusiasm can wane at the first road block.

Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don’t let anyone limit your dreams.……..Donovan Bailey

One of our favorite bloggers and Life Coach if we can call him that is Mr. Robert Chen. At his very educational and enlightening website, embracepossibility.com he speaks about the real meaning of passion. Here are some of his thoughts in story form.

Here is the preface from nymag.com. “A 37-year-old woman died on Tuesday evening when a piece of plywood blew off a security fence at a construction site for luxury condos, smacking her against the wall of a parking garage. Winds on Tuesday night in New York reached as high as 38 mph.

The incident happened at 175 West 12th Street, and the woman was pronounced dead at 9:12 p.m. at Bellevue Hospital. Authorities, who have not released the woman’s name since they have yet to contact her family, said the board was four feet by eight feet. They were not sure how far it fell before hitting the woman.

The construction is happening at the site of a former hospital.”

Now Mr. Chen speaks.

“My wife just shared with me a sad story about a woman getting killed in a freak accident while walking down the street in NYC.

Uncontrollable events like this happen all the time and they remind me of the fragile and fleeting nature of life and the importance of living it to the fullest now. If you’re still putting up with a mediocre life in hopes of getting something out of it at the end, please reconsider.

One way to live a fulfilling life is to …

… follow your PASSION.

Passion is one of those words that people use often without really understanding the original meaning of the word. When most people refer to “passion”, they use it to mean strong emotions reflecting an intense desire or boundless enthusiasm (At least, that’s how I’ve always heard it used).

It was only after reading Aspire by Kevin Hall and confirming with the dictionary, did I realize that “passion” originally meant:

A Willingness to Suffer for What You Love

The most famous example being the passion of Jesus Christ. This definition has changed my perspective about passion. I no longer use it to describe something that I feel strongly about or that excites me. I use it to describe an activity, goal or cause that I care about so much that I am willing to suffer for it. This new standard makes it easier to discern whether something is truly my passion or simply a strong interest.

People who make a difference in their own lives and the world do so by following their passion. This means making the conscious decision to give up other enjoyable activities to focus your energy on the most important activities. Great parents naturally do this when they have children and like raising kids, doing what you love is very hard work yet rewarding at the same time. The good news is when you pursue your passion; you’ll not only like where you end up but enjoy the journey along the way.

Look at your life and highlight the things you love that you’re willing to suffer for. This self-reflection will give you insight into what you’re passionate about. If you’re not sure, just pick something you enjoy and see if you’re willing to give up other activities to spend more time on it. Remember that in life you can choose and change your actions – just also keep in mind that you’re responsible for the consequences.

Don’t settle for a life that is only so-so.

Start living your best life today.”

article fciwomenswrestling.com

Great advice. Fciwomenswrestling loves to obtain the views from a variety of respected sources and here is another.

Her enjoyable site gretchenrubin.com explains, “Gretchen Rubin is one of the most thought-provoking and influential writers on habits and happiness. Her next book, Better than Before, is about how we change our habits. Her books The Happiness Project and Happier at Home were both instant New York Times bestsellers, and The Happiness Project spent more than two years on the bestseller list, including at #1. Her books have sold more than two million copies, in 30 languages. Here, she writes about her adventures as she test-drives ideas from contemporary science and ancient wisdom about building good habits and a happier life.”

She warmly shares, “Because of the Happiness Project, I spend a lot of time wondering, “What elements are necessary for a happy life?”

I’ve become convinced that one of the greatest supports to a person’s happiness is passion – whether for musical theater, video games, constitutional history, camping, stamps, shoe-shopping, teaching English as a second language, or whatever.

Now, it might seem that some passions are “better” than others – they help other people, or they’re of a “higher” nature, or they’re more healthy or wholesome. Maybe. But any passion is a great boon to happiness.

A passion gives you a reason to keep learning and to work toward mastery. It can often give you a reason to travel, and therefore to have the new experiences so key to happiness. It gives you something in common with other people, and so fosters social bonds. It gives you purpose. It often has a satisfying physical aspect—rock-climbing, fly-fishing, knitting. It gives meaningful structure to your time. It makes the world a richer place. When you’re in pain, it can be a refuge, a distraction, a solace.”

Female Submission Wrestlers are often energetic and driven. With the addition of Passion, in terms of their goals, anything is attainable.

Penny Mitchell Star Wrestler

Surprises in life are wonderful aren’t they?

What are some surprises that you were elated about in the past?

Was it a blind date set up by a friend where the person met was far better than expected? On a test score you scored far higher than originally thought? You bought a property and when it came time to sell, the market value was at least 25% higher than what you estimated? You come home from high school and there is a car in the driveway and you find out it’s yours?

Other times we love consistency.

The secret to winning is constant, consistent management.….Tom Landry

Think of some of the areas where that is desired.

Foremost is the behavior of someone we love in our important relationships. Time tables in the business world in terms of office hours, customer service and product reliability are essential. The ability of our car to get us from point A to B every day is mandatory.

What I loved about the great 1980’s wrestler Penny Mitchell was that she was very consistent in her wrestling performance. She didn’t exhibit over the top characters but you knew whoever stepped into the ring with her was going to get a great workout; and you as a fan, your money’s worth.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikia photo

I also loved the way that Penny looked in a full bathing suit with her strong sexy legs that fit perfectly in her wrestling boots.

I saw photos of her wrestling my favorite sweet shapely Pittsburgh Princess, Angie Minnelli in what looked like an extended ground war and the shots of those two shapely beauties in battle was priceless.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikia photo

Penny’s other contemporaries where Judy Martin, Debbie Combs, Leilani Kai, Candice Pardue, Velvet McIntyre, Desiree Peterson, Peggy Lee Leather and of course the great Fabulous Moolah.

Her battles against Moolah are legend. There were lots of flips, body splashes and chokes but Penny always managed to come up a little short.

For me the challenge isn’t to be different but to be consistent.…..Joan Jett

Penny hails from Springfield Missouri.

Springfield is the third largest city in the state of Missouri and the county seat of Greene County. According to the 2010 census data, the population was 159,498, an increase of 5.2% since the 2000 census. The Springfield Metropolitan Area has a population of 436,712 and includes the counties of Christian, Dallas, Greene, Polk and Webster. Springfield’s nickname is the Queen City of the Ozarks and is known as the Birthplace of Route 66 as well as the home of several universities including Missouri State University, Drury University, and Evangel University.

Thank you Wikimedia.

That’s a good starting place but there is so much more to do in Springfield. The educational site springfieldmo.org shares the expansion. “Venture out during the day. Play among Missouri’s many natural wonders on a weekend getaway. Visit an amusement park, see a show or take in a festival. Head to Branson and back. If you enjoy the outdoors, you’ll find more than 7,500 miles of shoreline along accessible lakes and floatable streams and rivers within minutes of the city. Urban trails, conservation areas, hunting, camping and fishing are never too far away.

At night, the town is yours. Springfield offers a unique mix of large-city amenities and hometown hospitality evident within great restaurants, museums and an eclectic mix of shops and attraction. There’s something for everyone, and always with a pace that encourages you to take your time. To enjoy the surprises around each corner.”

Let’s appreciate our tax dollars at work as springfieldmo.gov reassures you that your decision to visit Springfield is a good one.

“Welcome to Springfield, Mo.!

With more than 440,000 people in the metro area, Springfield is where the rolling hills of the Ozarks plateau form a surprisingly modern and green city.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

A “big, small town,” Springfield offers a great blend of fascinating attractions, historical treasures, sports excitement and cultural and leisure activities in a welcoming environment. The city offers 102 parks, including a linear trail system that integrates with the city’s growing on-street bike route system; an airport; an art museum; a zoo; the Springfield Lasers professional tennis team; the Springfield Cardinals minor-league baseball team and is home to Bass Pro Shops, Missouri State University, Drury and Evangel universities and the Assemblies of God USA.

Springfield/Greene County is the only municipality in the nation with a Gold Medal Award-winning parks and recreation department, American Chamber of Commerce Executives Chamber of the Year award and accreditation in law enforcement, fire, emergency management, environmental services and public works.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

Springfield Public Schools is Missouri’s largest fully accredited school district.  More than 24,000 students attend 36 elementary schools, an intermediate school (grades 5-6), nine middle schools, five high schools, Phelps Center for Gifted Education and an Early Childhood Center.

The school system offers more than a dozen programs that cater to the diverse needs of students, including the International Baccalaureate program, Wonders of the Ozarks Learning Facility (WOLF), and the Middle College Program. All five district high schools are designated Missouri A+ Schools.

Casual dining, upscale bars and restaurants, antique shops, trendy clothing, art galleries and a public art and sculpture tour make downtown Springfield a great place to live and visit.”

For changes to be of any true value, they’ve got to be lasting and consistent.……Tony Robbins

Penny was willing to take her lumps and bruises for the cause but some of her signature wins in singles matches were over tough lady pro Judy Martin. Some of her greatest tag team triumphs was when she partnered with Velvet McIntyre to defeat the powerful duo of Joyce Grable and Wendi Richter, otherwise known as The Texas Cowgirls and when she teamed with Susan Starr they surprisingly gained a major victory over Judy Martin and the all-time champion, The Fabulous Moolah.

Penny Mitchell was a steady performer that will always be remembered with admiration. Her consistency in the squared circle along with her talent and beauty propelled her to the category that those of us who enjoyed her professionalism knew that she would someday attain.

Be Your Self – Best Policy

Are you trying to figure out exactly how to be happy in life? Are you searching for authentic happiness and personal fulfillment?

The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love and to be greater than our suffering…….Ben Okri

Be yourself.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

We’ve heard that a lot.

What does that mean exactly?

There is power in being authentic, genuine and true to yourself. You are relaxed and original. There is only one you in this entire world and when you act authentic, it comes across as refreshing.

So if that’s the case, why do so many have trouble keeping it real or find themselves engaging in an act or a front as it were? How many times have you heard when you are going to meet someone for the first time, to be forewarned, because they are phony?

We knew of someone in our circle that was always eager to please, constantly joking and if she wanted to enter into friendships or make deals she would always give the other person far more than she received. It was a classic case of very low self-esteem.

Some of that also speaks to a lack of self-confidence or feelings of self-worth.

Let’s turn to some experts to understand the value of being authentic and true to yourself, no matter the circumstances.

Authenticity – Why people aren’t themselves and what that costs them…. by: Bella Enahoro

Why should you be yourself? The simple answer is ‘because everyone else is taken’ – it’s both the simple answer and an accurate answer. The important question is ‘why are we not ourselves?’ What is the payoff for not being ourselves? Ah, now we’re talking.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

To begin with, what would cause us to not want to be ourselves? For some of us, we may have been raised in environments where it was dangerous to be who we are. Even as adults we may be working in environments that demand that we be other than who we are in order to ensure job security. So we conclude, I have to be other than I am to get what I want i.e. love, safety, income etc.

People are always judging you based on where you’re from, where you went to school, how you look, how you talk. But at the end of the day, you’re going to have to look into the mirror and accept who you are. It’s all about being authentic.…….Andre Carson

We may have learned to believe ‘who I am is not good enough to be loved, guaranteed safety, approved of’. We may have been told ‘who you are is not worth treating well’. We may have learned ‘who you are is not good enough to meet my standards for ‘being good enough’. We may become convinced that we are less than we should be.

When we feel not good enough what happens to our lives? We end up putting things on hold until we feel we ‘deserve’ by becoming good enough. We spend so much time striving to feel that we’re good enough. Have I accomplished enough, am I good looking enough, is my car big/fast/exclusive enough, is my job title high enough, do I have enough awards to be good enough? Exhausting isn’t it?

Self-worth and authenticity are intrinsically linked.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

The worth we have in our own eyes, a sense of worth not built on acquisition, job title, appearance, credentials – is the only worth, worth living out of. How many of us realize that we have an intrinsic worth greater than anything on the outside? If we go through life with a sense of being deficient then we are motivated to acquire value – the things that others value in the world then become our aim in life. I may not be good enough in and of myself but look what I’ve got, becomes our calling card.

Sooner or later, things fall apart, if we’re lucky.

It can take many forms e.g. we can lose everything we spent our whole lives accruing or we meet someone or a situation that places no value on our ‘social bling’. We run helter-skelter trying to get them to ‘see’ us as our bling or we go somewhere else. But there’s a crack in the tea cup. When it finally breaks open, our break down becomes our breakthrough.

We begin to look for another way. What we’ve been looking for is a way to feel good about who we are, under all circumstance. We don’t always realize it at first since there’s much howling in pain and hanging onto fast disappearing ‘bling’.

The breakthrough cracks us wide open and everything we’ve been taught is ‘wrong’ with us, all the things we’ve been taught make us ‘not good enough’ stare us in the face. Excruciating at first but if we stay, refuse to take flight, we can transform. Now begins the re-acquainting ourselves with the ‘real’ us, all of it.

There are many transformation technologies from journaling, meditation, prayer, walking, body work, sound, vibrational healing. We tend to gravitate towards one that works for us. Soon the pain subsides, loses its edge. We don’t feel so raw. Our lives may be in shambles around us but we can stand to be alive and increasingly we can stand to be ourselves. We live in a time of infinite help with wonderful teachers who can assist us in moving out of our debris; emotional, psychological and spiritual.

Not being who we are, may be something we picked up at our beginning but was never a part of our being and we need not continue with it.

Very good advice and exceptional suggestions.

Then I realized that secrecy is actually to the detriment of my own peace of mind and self and that I could still sustain my belief in privacy and be authentic and transparent at the same time. It was a pretty revelatory moment, and there’s been a liberating force that’s come from it.….Alanis Morissette

Let’s now speak briefly to a caution of measuring our self-esteem based upon external factors.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

In an enlightening article found at psychalive.org, they express, “Although, self-worth is often used as a synonym for “self-esteem,” Dr. Lisa Firestone believes that self-worth should be less about measuring yourself based on external actions and more about valuing your inherent worth as a person. In other words, self-worth is about who you are, not about what you do.”

The article continues, “Dr. Kristin Neff argues that there is a problem with society’s focus on high self-esteem. The problem is that this focus involves measuring oneself against others, rather than paying attention to one’s intrinsic value.”

Like so many issues that we face when we travel down life’s pathway, the evaluation that helps us most is an internal one. That is why with a few adjustments, being yourself, being authentic and paying attention to your intrinsic values will increase your effectiveness in your relationships with others and heighten your ability to feel good about yourself.

Anita Fun Euro Wrestler

The widely admired Edward Estlin Cummings (October 14, 1894 – September 3, 1962), known as E. E. Cummings, with the abbreviated form of his name often written by others in lowercase letters as e e cummings, was an American poet, painter, essayist, author, and playwright. His body of work encompasses approximately 2,900 poems, two autobiographical novels, four plays and several essays, as well as numerous drawings and paintings. He is remembered as an eminent voice of 20th century English literature.

He was once quoted as saying, “The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

When watching the talented Hungarian wrestler Anita, one thing that you notice is that she has a great sense of humor.

She is also a great wrestler as well.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, DWW photo

Here are some of her match reviews.

“Young and strong Anita versus her wrestling teacher Viktoria! Anita is very strong and extremely skilled even at her young age. We all know perfectly well that Viktoria is the best wrestler of the HWW team and that she’s very strong, skilled and fit although she already belongs to our elder generation of wrestlers. This is a very interesting “old vs young” competition and it once again is proving us that age isn’t decisive when two women are wrestling. Will the coach be able to show her wrestling student that she’s still the stronger and better woman? As always there’s technically skilled, controlled, purist and straight world class wrestling performance when two HWW wrestlers are wrestling each other.”

That turned out to be a much tougher match than many expected. It speaks to Anita’s ability to learn quickly and adapt. Here is a description of another match.

“Young Anita is much heavier than Antscha. We interviewed Antscha before the match and sometimes between the falls and she confirms that Anita is stronger than her but that she needs to use her skills and the experience of the mature woman for having a chance. This is truly a match between two generations as Antscha is more than 12 years older than Anita. Anita is also much bigger than Antscha and she’s a skilled and aggressive fighter. This is an exciting and very even match with 5 great submissions between two very strong women.”

That match occurred when Anita was only 18 years old against the experienced and exceptional wrestler Antscha.

What is fun about Anita’s matches is though clearly she wants to win; still her competitions are laced with humor and bantering. In one case when a thirty something mom wanted to give wrestling a try, Anita easily could have dominated her in a brutal fashion but instead while she was clearly in control and winning, she began to tickle our sexy adventurous mom as well.

When someone can keep you laughing as much as Anita does, wouldn’t it be great to meet her at a coffee shop with friends and share a few laughs? Why don’t we travel to Anita’s home country and relax at a few of the coffee shops.

Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not; a sense of humor to console him for what he is.……Francis Bacon

The fun and entertaining site visitbudapest.travel makes for an excellent coffee companion.

Budapest has always been big on cafés and in the last couple of years the coffee scene has expanded with a number of new independent coffee shops brewing excellent java. If you are looking for creative alternatives to those ubiquitous chains, here are some of the best places to satisfy your caffeine craving.

“You’ll find serious coffee skills at Espresso Embassy, with its pour over, siphon and cold drip options at the brew bar. Dedicated staff (champion baristas among them), beautifully executed coffee and a selection of baked goods make this café a roaring success. Try their espresso, cortado, flat white or café latte and you’ll keep coming back. Add free WiFi and the posh design and you’ll never want to leave.

It’s no surprise Tamp & Pull is one of the best coffee shops in Budapest. Founder Attila Molnár, a barista champion himself, is focused on the output of a premium product. He serves three different Has Bean beans changing every month, roasted by British roast master Stephen Leighton. The espresso bar offers a variety of brewing methods for true coffee enthusiasts. Not only does Tamp & Pull make a perfect cup of coffee, they offer barista and brewing classes too.

Inspired by a trip to Melbourne, this cozy little café in Madách tér has a passion for great coffee. My Little Melbourne is known for its advanced latte art and delicious espresso-based drinks. The brew bar offers syphon, chemex, aeropress or pour over methods. A variety of teas, freshly made juices, pastries, salads and sandwiches complement the excellent coffee.

Probably the smallest coffee shop in town, Fekete is committed to fair-trade coffee and locally sourced ingredients, like farmer’s milk from Etyek. Their delicious coffee is made with a La Marzocco machine. Take your beverage to go, or opt for some street-side seating and people watching.”

The informative site budapestbylocals.com provides us with a little history. “Coffee culture was thriving in Budapest from around the early 1910’s until the beginning of the 1930’s. In this era the around 500 cafés were scattered around the city.

They served as common meeting places of talented writers, poets and artists. Some of them spent most of the day in their favorite place, musing or writing at their regular tables.”

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.….Audrey Hepburn

Now they can serve as a watering hole for great female wrestlers as well.

It’s funny, refreshing and entertaining to watch our Hungarian star Anita wrestle. Our suggestion is, while you sit back to enjoy Anita compete, bring a cup of coffee and sense of humor with you as well.

Orsi, Euro Wrestling Star

The super star Hungarian wrestler and creative soul, Orsi loves to participate in the little known but effective school of martial arts called Ninjutsu.

Ninjutsu sometimes used interchangeably with the modern term ninpō is the strategy and tactics of unconventional warfare and guerrilla warfare as well as the art of espionage purportedly practiced by the shinobi (commonly known outside of Japan as ninja).

fciwomenswrestling.com article, dwwgalaxy photo

Ninjutsu was more an art of tricks than a martial art. Ninjutsu was a separate discipline in some traditional Japanese schools, which integrated study of more conventional martial arts along with shurikenjutsu, kenjutsu, sojutsu, bōjutsu, battlefield grappling kumi-uchi (an old form of jujutsu) and others.

A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others…………….Ayn Rand

The discipline seems intriguing and alternative but at least in Orsi’s case, it seems to work wonderfully.

Orsi mainly wrestles in Europe and here are a list of competitors that she has engaged that fill out her formidable resume. Ready? Kimbra, Pamela, Antscha, Viktoria M, Zsuzsa, Sofia C, Reni, Antonia, Vladka, Leslie, Miriam, Viktoria, Sofia B, Kati K, Giulia, Nici, Karine, Bea S, Angie and Orsi S.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, dwwgalaxy photo

Kimbra is widely known as one of the best wrestlers today. Here is a match description when these two titans met.

“This was one of the best matches of this event and probably one of the best matches of the last 24 months. Both Orsi S. and Kimbra gave their very best wrestling performance ever. There’s top skills, incredible power, aggression, ambition, stamina, unbelievable endurance and activity in this match, something you’d hardly ever seen before. The ups and downs of each wrestler are changing permanently and once you’d strongly believe that there would be no other option for the poor struggling victim than to submit immediately, she can suddenly turn the tables and the aggressor is in immediate serious trouble, and it turns again and again and again.

You’ll be excited when watching this very long match since there won’t be a single minute when you’ll be bored. We’re giving our sincere compliments to these two real female warriors. If you’re a true female wrestling fan then you shouldn’t miss to watch this match immediately since it’s probably one of the best matches ever filmed in our 20 years female wrestling history! This incredible match is definitely one of the collector’s classics of the century.”

Wow, what a salesperson. That is a match for everyone’s collection.

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things.……Steve Jobs

Karine is widely respected as one of the best female submission wrestlers to ever come out of Germany. Here is the match description between two tough Euro stars.

“The match between Orsi-K and German girl Karine is a fantastic match, and it is an even match. Both are very strong and muscular women. It’s fantastic to see, when their biceps are flexing during the match and their arms and shoulders are working. Orsi-K is much taller than Karine, both are experienced wrestlers. The match starts with a headlock attack from Karine, she came on top first, but Orsi-K know what to do and use her powerful legs for a fantastic body scissors, but Karine fights back and made very fantastic headlocks in this even match. It’s great to see the emotions, when Karine is over Orsi-K and to see, when Orsi-K is “working” to escape from the powerful headlocks from Karine. Of course Orsi-K try every time to use her scissors for making points, but Karine was in good form. And both girls were fighting to win this match.
You see hard headlocks, great body scissors, pin counts, emotions and 5 points. The winning point is with the last hold in this great match with 2 beautiful and strong wrestlers.
After the match the winner shows her strong biceps.”

A lover of sports, climbing and making music, Orsi uses her creative side to exact victories in her wrestling as well. Along with being quick and with great reactions, Orsi is very fit as well.

One more match description speaks to this.

“While Pamela seems to be stronger and of course bigger than Orsi, Orsi is the more experienced and more skilled wrestler as she’s wrestling already three years longer than Pamela who had just started to wrestle a few months ago. You won’t be surprised that both women do not only use their skills, their strong legs and their strong arms.”

In reviewing a myriad of Orsi’s matches you’ll find that Orsi defeats the girls that she is supposed to but is inconsistent with those closer to her level. The surprise match for us was when she faced the American Trinity.

Trinity had been in a very tough match with Bori, one of the Hungarian female wrestling leaders and appeared to annoy the Hungarian star and received a fairly thorough beating as a result.

When it came time to meet Orsi, Trinity’s street style and aggressiveness seemed to intimidate Orsi who clearly did not wrestle at her best. Having said all of that, it was still one very entertaining match.

The highest levels of performance come to people who are centered, intuitive, creative, and reflective – people who know to see a problem as an opportunity.…..Deepak Chopra

Orsi has been a long time star on the women’s wrestling scene and FCI would like to congratulate her on her endurance and mostly stellar performances. A student who is trying to increase her choices and options, Orsi seems to exemplify what we love about women’s wrestling.

She’s talented, fit, bright, smart, beautifully and uniquely creative. That is a wonderful profile to hang on any female sports industry’s mantle.

Haifaa Al Mansour – Hero

In the entire world, when you are virtually the only one in your industry, how good can you really be?

Most would agree competition breeds improvement as we’ve seen in the auto, hotel and pharmaceutical industries.

In terms of singularity, reportedly as Saudi Arabia’s first and only full length feature film maker, you can judge Haifaa Al Mansour’s work for yourself by watching the movie “Wadjda”, which many say lifts the veil on life in the kingdom.

To research Ms. Mansour’s home country, life and life’s work is a study in contrasts and extreme puzzlement.

She’s really good at what she does because she has to be. There is a lot riding on her will to unveil.

In speaking with Npr.org Ms. Mansour expresses Wadjda tells the very universal story of a spunky 10-year-old girl by that name, and her wish for a bicycle.

“I am making a film in Saudi Arabia — and that is controversial enough,” Al Mansour says, noting that she didn’t want to make big statements about the culture clashes. “I don’t want people to feel offended back home.”

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

And if Al Mansour did not intend for her film to be loud in impact, neither were her movements in making it: “It was really difficult to shoot in Saudi,” she says. “I’m really proud that I was able to shoot the film entirely in Riyadh.

“The country is segregated and men and women are not supposed to mix together. I had to film from a van, and I had a walkie-talkie, and a monitor, and I was always confined in that space.”

Saudi Arabia is also not as closed as it once was, Al Mansour notes. “There is some room for women, and room for arts, and I felt, it’s such a rewarding feeling to be able to bring film into Saudi,” she says.

In other interviews FCI gleans the cutting edge filmmaker makes it clear she did not want to do another Middle Eastern film that focuses on the negative, the violence, oppression and terrorism that so many films embark upon.

Having interpreted her thoughts it does seem those very things do exist in abundance especially in terms of women’s rights in a modern world.

The enlightening site imdb.com which shares information about celebrities, movies stars and famous people expressed, “Within the Kingdom her work is both praised and vilified for encouraging discussion on topics generally considered too taboo, like tolerance, the dangers of orthodoxy, and the need for Saudis to take a critical look at their traditional and restrictive culture.”

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

In speaking with National Public Radio she continues, “I think it is very important to open up Saudi and have new imagery coming from the kingdom. Nobody knows [what] it is like to be in Saudi, and for me it is important to create that ownership — even for people in Saudi, when they see the neighborhoods and all that. And one day we did some cultural screening in Saudi, and we invited a lot of Saudis and young kids. And one of them came to me, and he was really emotional and told me, “I understand, I feel how Americans feel now when they see an American movie.” And it was amazing. It made me almost like, “Ah, I’m gonna cry.”

Haifaa al-Mansour is the eighth child out of twelve children born to the poet Abdul Rahman Mansour. Her father introduced her to films by video, there being no movie theaters in Saudi Arabia. One of her favorite actors was Jackie Chan.

With her father’s encouragement, she studied comparative literature at the American University in Cairo. She later went on to attend film school in Sydney, Australia.

She began her filmmaking career with three shorts, Who?, The Bitter Journey and The Only Way Out. The Only Way Out won prizes in the United Arab Emirates and in the Netherlands.

She followed these with the documentary Women Without Shadows, which deals with the hidden lives of women in Arab States of the Persian Gulf. It was shown at 17 international festivals. The film received the Golden Dagger for Best Documentary in the Muscat Film Festival and a special jury mention in the fourth Arab Film Festival in Rotterdam. Haifaa al-Mansour was a guest at the 28th Three Continents Festival in Nantes, France.

Her feature debut, Wadjda, which she wrote as well as directed, made its world premiere at the 2012 Venice Film Festival; it is the first full-length feature to be shot entirely in Saudi Arabia and through 2013, the only feature-length film made in Saudi Arabia by a female director.

Wadjda tells the story of an 11-year-old girl growing up in the suburbs of Riyadh, who dreams of owning and riding a green bicycle. The film was backed by Rotana, the film production company of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. Wadjda was selected as the Saudi Arabian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards, which is the first time Saudi Arabia has submitted a film for the Best Foreign Language Oscar.

She did not intend that her film work focus on women’s issues, but found them too important to not address. Both Who? and Women Without Shadows deal with the custom of abaya. She has received hate mail and criticism for being unreligious, which she denies.

She does, however, feel that Saudi Arabia needs to take a more critical view of its culture. She also received praise from Saudis for encouraging discussion on topics usually considered taboo.

In an extensive interview with the major British news source theguardian.com, she emphasized “It’s very important to celebrate resistance, pursuing one’s dreams. Sometimes, it’s easy to make a character in a place such as Saudi a victim; people exploit them, they give up hope.”

Haifaa al-Mansour has been living in Bahrain for some years with her husband, an American diplomat, and their two children.

When good people like Haifaa are willing to stand up and be counted, they do have an impact and make a difference in the world. The result is that they often set in motion the wheels that slowly turn the world into a better place, especially for the group that inspired their focus.

Female Competition International would like to thank Haifaa al-Mansour for her conviction and courage.

Femvertising Is Huge!

Here is another real life experience that Female Competition International (FCI) would like to share with you.

We wrote an article on a beautiful submission wrestler who previously had been used to promoting her powerful sexuality to sell her products and sessions. After interviewing her, once it was time to write the article we asked for pictures of her fully clothed.

fciwomenswrestling article, Wikimedia photo

She was shocked and a little offended.

It took some time but we finally won her over by explaining that we feel that her male customers will actually begin to identify with her more emotionally if she protects her privacy but sell her interests and personality. If her and other female wrestler’s futures are based strictly upon their sex appeal then the aging process and the next youngest beauty will replace them.

FCI has been preaching this since we first began publishing in January of 2013. Apparently Madison Avenue is finally in agreement and there is a new movement towards Femvertising.

What is Femvertising?

Femvertising are ads that celebrate women and girls rather than objectify them.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, basqueteam.com photo

In an October 3, 2014 article written by the talented writer Nina Bahadur for the Huffington Post, she explained ads that inspire and empower women may actually be making a difference, both to the way women feel about themselves and companies’ bottom lines.

The overall feel of the article is that women have a very positive response to articles featuring them in a positive and human light.

A women’s lifestyle website, SheKnows polled 628 women about their thoughts on femvertising and how it impacted their purchasing. They found that 91 percent of respondents believe how women are portrayed in advertising has a direct impact on girls’ self-esteem, and 94 percent agree that portraying women as sex symbols in advertisements is harmful.

The summary of their study showed “femvertising” ads are well-received: 51 percent of women polled like pro-female ads because they believe they break down gender-equality barriers, and 71 percent of respondents think brands should be responsible for using advertising to promote positive messages to women and girls. The survey also showed that femvertising pays off for brands — 52 percent of women polled had purchased a product because they liked the way the ads portrayed women.

article fciwomenswrestling.com

According to AdWeek, in speaking to other supporting facts that reaffirm the effectiveness of Femvertising the magazine cited:

  • 51 percent of women liked pro-female ads because they felt it broke gender barriers. “Portray women as intelligent,” said a Baby Boomer working mom with a child over 18. “Truly think about the message of the commercial—so many commercials today have the message ‘our customers are idiots.’ Why would I go out of my way to buy from a company that doesn’t respect me? Don’t take cheap shots at anyone—men, women or children.”
  • 4 out of 5 women thought it was important for younger generations to see a positive portrayal of women. An overwhelming majority felt that how women are seen in campaigns has a direct effect on girls’ self-esteem. “I’d like to see less Photo shopping of images so that young women and girls know what real women look like and have a realistic sense of beauty,” said one millennial mom.
  • 71 percent said brands should be held responsible for how they use their advertising to promote positive messages about women—and 3 out of 5 women believed that any brand can be pro-women.
  • 94 percent said that using women as sex symbols was harmful to the gender. “So much advertising that is targeted to women [has] the underlying message that being ‘sexually’ attractive is the ultimate benchmark of beauty and self-worth. … We need to expand ‘sexy’ to include more cerebral/emotional qualities: sense of humor, creativity, compassion, care etc.,” a Gen X woman said.
  • 75 percent said they liked ads that featured everyday women, 19 percent said they don’t notice them and 6 percent said they didn’t like them at all. Said a millennial college student: “Be realistic when showing a woman in an ad, be conscientious about language and the dialogue between women and men, and women and women. Break gender barriers! Avoid social construction of gender. Don’t treat women as objects or portray them in any way that makes them less human.”
  • Only half of the women who took the survey consider themselves feminists, but 89 percent felt that gender equality is a human rights issue.

Sincerity is very important. An innovative media site www.marketingpilgrim.com makes a very good point. “Now it’s time for a word of warning. The only thing worse than ignoring your female audience is pandering to them. If you marketing efforts come off as phony, you’re doomed. Authenticity is the watchword. Find a way to tell a real, young woman’s story as it relates to your product and you’ve got the makings of a viral, winner.”

Another media giant, Time Magazine has been reading and evaluating the Femvertising revolution and weighs with their two cents. “While some critics oppose using half-hearted tales of “empowerment” or pseudo-feminism to get women to buy more soap and beauty products, SheKnows found that most women it surveyed praised the strategy. But other than Dove, what brands do women remember as being “pro-female?” (92% were aware of at least one pro-female ad campaign.) When SheKnows asked what brands women think are “doing it right,” the top ten included: Nike, Hanes, Olay, Dove, Always, Pantene, Playtex, Covergirl, Underarmour, and Sears.”

At FCI, we feel that our female wrestling community is on the right track if there is recognition that messages that humanize and empower women will bring us closer to a larger mainstream audience to support our products.

We realize this is a cultural shift but as President John F. Kennedy was quoted as saying, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.

Kyra, Wrestler, Hungary

Hungary is quickly becoming the country of the future when it comes to fully competitive, dignified women’s wrestling. One star after another is continuing to emerge.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

Essential to letting go of the past is this theory that you have to come to terms with it first.

The importance of grasping and differentiating with what is fading while developing a strong awareness of what is emerging in some industries can be the difference between financial life and death.

The global female submission wrestling industry is undoubtedly flowing through a cultural and physical shift where the competitors of the present and foreseeable future must incorporate some mixed martial arts and weight lifting if they have any hopes of being relevant on the global fully competitive women’s wrestling scene.

Kyra from Hungary fits the profile of the next generation from two perspectives. She is participating in a weight lifting program and she’s connected to a team of serious competitors.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, sessiongirls.com photo

According to online sources, Kyra is a double world champion in Bantam weight boxing.

A group that she has developed a friendship with is found at tiafighting.com where the boss Tia shares their group think with us. “Hi Guys! Welcome on the homepage of Tiafighting Wrestling Club! You can find here real fighter women and normal girls too, who want to try their self in the wrestling scene. The most fighters on this page have got some sport experiences and able for competitive wrestling, semi competitive wrestling, fantasy wrestling, scissor session, photo and video shooting and some light domination.”

Tia appears to be a wrestler who is evolving into one of the top mentors in our industry.

Some of her enthusiasm is wearing off on Kyra who exudes at wb270.com, “Hi guys, ready to rumble? I got lots of experience in kick-boxing and boxing and train ground fighting with Tia.”

Clearly she’s gaining a reputation as praise in pouring in from many circles. At www.athena2.net the management expresses, “Kyra is an athletic fitness girl with a beautiful muscular body, experienced and kick-boxing and wrestling.”

At the site kofilmproductions.com in describing a match that can be purchased there they give Kyra a shout out. “A fight between 2 muscular fitness girls, Kyra and Mary, both from Hungary, and both are real dream girls. It is not a fight of perfect martial arts specialists, but it’s a girl fight which we also love to see. It is a must have for fans, who wants to see well-trained and powerful girls fighting it out. Don’t miss this match, you will love it!”

We receive more insight from wb270.com where a satisfied customer explains why he enjoyed having a session with Kyra.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Kyra for a 2 hour session earlier this year. When she opened the door I stood there speechless as Kyra showed off her beautiful toned body, very hard shapely biceps and rock hard abs. She also has a lovely smile and great personality.

We started the session with two sided hard belly punching. Her punches were very effective and had me winded after the fourth punch. In contrast, my punches did not penetrate her rock hard abs. We then started to wrestle. Kyra put me in a neck hold and tried to pull me to the mat. I tried to fight her, but she uses her amazing upper body strength to wear me down. She made me submit many times with her killer move, the arm bar. I really enjoyed my session with Kyra and I look forward to meeting her again. ”

I enjoy the site sheknows.com which is a fantastic source for explaining the meaning behind names, in Kyra’s case hers is the word throne with an association with the moon. The site goes a step further and shares their insights.

“People with this name have a deep inner desire to use their abilities in leadership, and to have personal independence. They would rather focus on large, important issues, and delegate the details.

They tend to be focused on specific goals, experience a wealth of creative new ideas, and have the ability to implement these ideas with efficiency and determination. They tend to be courageous and sometimes aggressive.”

That’s what I like about Kyra’s matches. She does seem to be very determined to win and also give her best performance.

What village helped shape her internal makeup?

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

If you wanted to understand Kyra a little better it would wise to get to know Hungary, her home country a little better as well. That assignment may be a little intimidating so why don’t we focus on what is perhaps its greatest city in Budapest.

Let’s briefly travel there.

A great foundation is laid by our favorite information source, Wikipedia. They educate, “Budapest is the capital and the largest city of Hungary, and one of the largest cities in the European Union.

It is the country’s principal political, cultural, commercial, industrial, and transportation center, sometimes described as the primate city of Hungary.

In 2011, according to the census, Budapest had 1.74 million inhabitants. The Budapest Metropolitan Area is home to 3.3 million people.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, Wikimedia photo

Cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest’s extensive World Heritage Site includes the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrássy Avenue, Heroes’ Square and the Millennium Underground Railway, the second-oldest metro line in the world.

It has around 80 geothermal springs, the world’s largest thermal water cave system, second largest synagogue, and third largest Parliament building. The city attracts about 4.3 million tourists a year, making it the 25th most popular city in the world.”

So, you can see the sites of the city, have a great session with Kyra and if your muscles are a little sore, afterwards you can relax in one of Hungary’s myriads of soothing, relaxing and invigorating spas.

We so often are obsessed with the future. What’s going to happen, when will it happen and what will be the new trends?

Kyra is an emerging star.

In the female wrestling industry, you now have absorbed the present, see the future and in terms of appreciating the skills of Kyra; know that the future is now.

Kimbra Wrestler Hungary

A skilled application of wrestling holds, exceptional perseverance, mental toughness and a keen sense of how to close out a submission move is the hallmark qualities of a competitor who has been trained in the elite DWW women’s wrestling program.

Being trained in the DWW program is like participating in the SEC in college football, Tennessee and UConn in women’s collegiate basketball or Oklahoma, Brock, Simon Fraser and King University in women’s collegiate freestyle wrestling. When you can excel in their programs, you can perform at an elite level anywhere else.

Kimbra is one of the newer generations of DWW graduates and regarding her tough wrestling style, praise is coming in from all over the globe and more importantly outside of the local tribe.

fciwomenswrestling.com article, DWW photo credit

This is what one of the industry leaders, London Wrestling Studios had to say about our DWW gladiator. “As far as we know, this is KIMBRA’s first trip to the UK!  You may also know KIMBRA as Roxy – she has starred in many European wrestling videos over the year, starting off her career with the famous DWW.  She’s beautiful, tall, strong, and aggressive, as we saw in person when we met her at the Femwrestle event earlier in the year – you can see her wrestling our very own Isabella in the gallery photos.”

Let’s listen to another reviewer shout out Kimbra’s praise. “I’ve seen a few of Kimbra’s other matches, so I knew she was skilled, and from the preview clips, you can tell that she was able to give Tiffany at least a somewhat hard time. Even so, I was expecting this to be a mostly one-sided match with Kimbra fighting hard but ultimately overmatched by Tiffany. I was quite wrong.

Kimbra has improved by leaps and bounds, it seems, because this is an extremely evenly matched battle. Despite a 12kg (28 lb.) weight disadvantage, Tiffany has her hands full the entire time. Headlocks, body and head scissors, and straddles are the primary weapons the two women use against each other. At one point between falls, when asked, Tiffany very emphatically says that Kimbra is stronger than Petra to give you an idea of how far she’s come.”

This writer first saw Kimbra as Roxy as well, mostly wrestling for Female Wrestling Zone. She was good but in my opinion, not DWW elite level good.

Over the years she has clearly improved to the point that her matches are comparative to that of the elite. The key is how she has evolved to the level where she doesn’t just defeat opponents but dominates the newer and higher skilled competitors alike.

When she wrestled the very feminine, huggable, sexy DWW Rose Tekla, she completely dominated her as expected, but did so with a gentle, master’s touch.

What is more impressive is how she is now fighting outside of the pond, specifically in Germany at femwrestle.com where her reputation is growing. Anyone who saw what occurred between Kimbra and LWS journey level fighter Xena can’t help but be impressed. Xena is a sexy woman with thick, beautiful, powerful thighs (the better to scissor you with my dear) who found herself in over her thighs and head with the vastly improved Kimbra.

The name Kimbra is an English baby name and in many circles means from the royal forest meadow. One site is so enthralled with the name they even profile the women who possess it and I have to admit, in watching Kimbra wrestle, it seems like so much applies.

The interesting site sheknows.com expresses, “People with this name tend to be passionate, compassionate, intuitive, romantic, and to have magnetic personalities. They are usually humanitarian, broadminded and generous, and tend to follow professions where they can serve humanity. Because they are so affectionate and giving, they may be imposed on. They are romantic and easily fall in love, but may be easily hurt and are sometimes quick-tempered.”

Wow, magnetic personality. This certainly describes Kimbra. Here is how another reviewer described Kimbra. “Kimbra has lost some weight and buffed up so she looks great and has a lovely radiant smile (especially when she is inflicting pain!).”

Here is her impressive resume of competitors who have felt a taste of the Kimbra! She’s wrestled Antscha, Renata B, Tiffany, Denise, Orsi S, Reni, Dani, Viktoria M, Kata, Sofia C, Jana N, Gloria, Antonia among others.

Her matches tend to garner a lot of industry attention, especially the one against Reni where Reni decided to stop the match prematurely. Here is how one reviewer describes it. “The conclusion of this match was very disappointing in my opinion. One wrestler started playing the role of turtle (Kimbra), and then employed a vicious kick to keep her opponent off from her.

This act demonstrated a clear lack of sportsmanship, and I do not blame the other wrestler for wanting an immediate ending for the match. For this reason, I gave this match 3 stars. Hopefully the wrestler using the kicking maneuver learned a valuable lesson and will not attempt such shenanigans in the future.”

Shenanigans! Wow what a term. That’s right up there with flabbergasted.

No one could accuse Kimbra of being passive in her matches. Here is one more review emanating from the German club femwrestle.com. “This is again one of the absolute top matches of the March 2014 event. Kimbra from Hungary vs Isabella form Honey Team LWS London. A description of this fight is not real possible, rough, fast and hard. Not often you will see such a match, a fan of female wrestling hast to watch this real comp fight.”

Yes, Kimbra represents Hungary well.

The temptation when you want to describe this beautiful nation is to focus on its abundance of soothing thermal spas and the magnificent capitol city of Budapest. Since so many great female wrestlers like Viktoria M come from there; thus far that’s what we have done.

At Female Competition International, one of our goals when writing articles is to educate and show our readers the beautiful global community in which women’s wrestling thrives. So to expand our reach and your mind, we’ve decided to introduce you to the second largest city in Hungary.

Without looking it up, do you know the name?

The informative site geonames.org explains, “Debrecen (pronunciation: [ˈdɛbrɛtsɛn] is the second largest city in Hungary after Budapest. Debrecen is the regional center of the Northern Great Plain region and the seat of Hajdú-Bihar county. It was the largest Hungarian city in the 18th century and it is one of the most important cultural centers of the Hungarians.

Debrecen was also the capital city of Hungary during the revolution in 1848-1849 and by the end of the World War II in 1944-1945.

The city used to be somewhat isolated from Budapest, Hungary’s main transport hub. However, the completion of the motorway M35 means Budapest can now be reached in under two hours.”

Kimbra may have known that, but did you?

Here is another interesting fact about Debrecen.

It’s originally built in the middle of nowhere. Literally. The educational site wikitravel.org wonders, “They used to say “who in their sane mind would build a city in the middle of nowhere where there are no mountains, forests, water or roads?”. Very good question. That’s the way it was, but it is not that way now.

The city site eng.debrecen.hu adds the final flavoring. “Debrecen is one of the cultural and social centers of Hungary for almost half a century, and has been dedicated to establish and maintain a remarkable and outstanding cultural credo. Since 1538 the most marvelous minds of Hungarian culture and science learned in the famous Reformed College. The Museum of the College has an outstanding collection of 17 000 pieces and its library owns distinctive book rarities, while its collection of embroidery and goldsmith’s crafts also offers a unique experience.”

Along with being a great female wrestler who competes against women, Kimbra also competes against men. Would you like to wrestle her? Here is what one satisfied customer who did had to say.

“As for Kimbra, I’m aware of her pedigree having seen her videos but she REALLY surprised me. Her strength is amazing, when you look at her overall frame she is skinny so for her to overpower was as I said before a surprise. I don’t know if it had to with me not going to gym for over a year but it was a humbling experience nevertheless.”

Kimbra’s DWW pedigree has served her well. Fortunately for us fans, this is one former DWW maiden that continues to wrestle. With such a great training base complimented with her growing experience, Kimbra is a wrestler who will continue to earn and receive world wide praise.

Thunder LWS Grappler

She’s blessed with beauty and power.

LWS wrestler Thunder is developing into a female grappling force.

fciwomenswrestling.com article -London wrestling studio photo

This Kiwi is a tall, shapely, strong, big girl sexy and battle tested. Her won loss record is stellar. She’s a wrestler other girls are already wanting to avoid in real competition. In the 1990’s, this would have described the incredibly sexy dark brunette from New Zealand named Lisa Marie.

Not the case here.

There’s a new Kiwi in town and her name is Thunder.

After watching Thunder compete at three sites and online, FCI’s scouting report describes her as physically tough, aggressive and at times unforgiving. She’s not beyond dominating a weaker opponent. What’s frightening for the rest of the female wrestling field is that Thunder clearly has not peaked.

Here is the accounting of this rising star presented at thunderwrestlingamazon.webs.com. “From New Zealand Thunder, came to London to begin her wrestling rise to fame. Starting at London Wrestling Studio Thunder learnt for the best and quickly rose to one of the most popular wrestlers. Since that fateful day 10 years ago Thunder has metamorphosed from a tall, gorgeous blonde to a tall, SUPER strong and muscular gorgeous blonde.”

The widely respected female wrestling organization London Wrestling Studio has presented top flight women’s wrestling events and features some of the best competitors from around the globe.

Here is what they had to say about this New Zealand princess.

“Over the last couple of years, THUNDER has become more muscular than ever – thanks to a punishing fitness regime. Consistently popular, we have found that Thunder attracts more repeat custom than any other wrestler at LWS. This is partly because she really goes out of her way to cater to all session requests and her customer service is second to none.

Also as many of you have found out, she is exceptionally strong for a female and is able to lift and carry men of up to 100 kg in weight. THUNDER’s wrestling has really come along over time and we would recommend her to any customer.”

That’s high praise indeed.

I’ve never been to New Zealand before. But one of my role models, Xena, the warrior princess, comes from there”.……..Madeleine Albright

Let’s fly to New Zealand and briefly take a look at the village that created this formidable grappler.

The United States CIA reports, “The British colony of New Zealand became an independent dominion in 1907. Over the past 20 years the government has transformed New Zealand from an agrarian economy dependent on concessionary British market access to a more industrialized, free market economy that can compete globally. This dynamic growth has boosted real incomes.”

The dynamic educational source Wikipedia relates, “The country geographically comprises two main land masses – that of the North Island, or Te Ika-a-Māui, and the South Island, or Te Waipounamu – and numerous smaller islands. New Zealand is situated some 1,500 kilometres (900 mi) east of Australia across the Tasman Sea and roughly 1,000 kilometres (600 mi) south of the Pacific island areas of New Caledonia, Fiji, and Tonga.

Because of its remoteness, it was one of the last lands to be settled by humans. During its long isolation, New Zealand developed a distinctive biodiversity of animal, fungal and plant life. The country’s varied topography and its sharp mountain peaks, such as the Southern Alps, owe much to the tectonic uplift of land and volcanic eruptions. New Zealand’s capital city is Wellington, while its most populous city is Auckland.

Before the arrival of humans an estimated 80 percent of the land was covered in forest, with only high alpine, wet, infertile and volcanic areas without trees.

The endemic flightless kiwi is a national icon. The forests were dominated by birds, and the lack of mammalian predators led to some like the kiwi, kakapo and takahē evolving flightlessness.”

Now let’s add some color.

The official travel site newzealand.com exudes, “Thousands of kilometers of coastline, lakes and rivers herald New Zealand as a water sports mecca.

fciwomenswrestling.com article - wikimedia photo

Sailing, surfing, diving, fishing – Kiwis love the water and we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to water activities. Indulging your passion for the water is easy to do here in New Zealand and limited only by your imagination.

You just have to go to any beach or wharf to see how popular fishing is in New Zealand. There’s a fish and a fishing spot with your name on it. If you’re up north you can expect to catch snapper, kingfish and tarakihi. In the far south, you’re looking at blue cod, trumpeter and grouper for your dinner. Snapper is the prized fish for most sea fishermen. Go snapping as they call it and you could be looking at a fish in excess of 10kg.”

From Maori culture to hiking in pristine green covered mountains to watching the stars in dark night skies unobstructed; we have just scratched the surface of all that you can do in New Zealand.

New Zealand is not a small country but a large village”.……..Peter Jackson

One of the natural experiences you can enjoy and most likely will never forget on your next trip to London is to engage in some Big Sexy Girl wrestling with Thunder. Here is what one satisfied customer had to say.

“My first experience at LWS was with Thunder and although I was quite nervous, she put me at ease straightaway and after a few wonderful lift and carries, I felt great and the whole session was really exhilarating. Thunder is so strong and made all the lift and carries seem effortless…I’m definitely making another booking soon!”

This writer can say that I have clearly seen improvement in Thunder’s wrestling. You are only as good as your competition. When a wrestler is winning constantly, the question becomes what is the skill level of the opponents?

At the British site where she has a long standing resume, she boasts a winning record against respectable competition like Shelby Beach, Kassidy, Minxy Li and Star to name a few.

It was when she had her way with the widely respected journey level fighter Dynamo that I knew she was for real.

There’s always excitement in the air when a star is rising bright against a dark magical sky. Make no mistake about it, when it comes to her matches, Thunder can not only lower the BOOM!………….

She strikes with lightening as well.
