From the first time we saw her, we knew that England’s Nika was a very special skilled wrestler and a star. We’ve written several extensive match reviews focusing on her.

London Submission Room Event Match, Nika Vs Lottie .

With the gorgeous Mel Fire, we were captivated by her Nordic feminine beauty and incredible sexiness. Our initial research indicated that she primarily plies her trade in the fantasy world so we expected Nika to routine and roll over her.

That didn’t happen and we were a little surprised.

Upon further research, we began to understand why. Mel is actually trained in Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.

Makes sense.

Here she faces Nika at the London Submission Room, in a competitive match. We think you will be surprised how it progresses. We are certain you will love it. To purchase this instant classic, here is the link https://www.thesubmissionroom.co.uk/buy-videos/

JULIA BUDD, 40 YEARS OLD, WHERE DOES SHE GO FROM HERE?

Before her showdown fight with super star Kayla Harrison, here is what FCI Women’s Wrestling Magazine had to say about Ms. Budd, “She has made the most of her chances so this is not necessarily a second chance.

Julia Budd signing with the Professional Fighters League is a new beginning, for both of them.

Bright and shining.

Julia Budd is a Canadian kickboxer and mixed martial artist competing in the Women’s Lightweight division of Professional Fighters League (PFL).

She has fought in MMA promotions Strikeforce and Invicta Fighting Championships and is the first and former Bellator Women’s Featherweight world champion.

Ms. Budd is currently the #3-ranked 145-pound female MMA fighter in the world according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings.

Julia practiced Muay Thai for many years and later became the only woman to defeat American Gina Carano in Muay Thai competition.

At 39, Julia appears to approaching the end of her career and a solid victory over Aspen could begin her exit with a bang.”

Well, that didn’t happen.

This is what happened recently.

Budd was scheduled to face Kayla Harrison at PFL 10 on November 24, 2023.

However, Budd was removed from the fight that she “refused to fulfill her contractual obligation” and was replaced by Aspen Ladd at a catchweight of 150 pounds.

She was subsequently released from the promotion.

What the future holds for Julia Budd is a mystery and a novel worth reading. Let’s all keep our ears and eyes wide open.

HISTORIC SIGNING

As reported on January 31, 2024, forbes.com educates, “On Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Professional Fighters League announced the signing of Hattan Alsaif, the first Saudi Arabian female mixed martial artist to link with a major promotion.”

We love watching history unfold.

The team at pflmma.com adds, “The Professional Fighters League (PFL), the fastest-growing and most innovative sports league, today announced the historic signing of Hattan Alsaif to an exclusive, multi-fight contract. Alsaif becomes the first woman from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to sign a contract with a global MMA promotion.

Alsaif, is a 22-year-old gold medal winner at the 2023 International Federation of Muay Thai Associations World Championships, an event in which she was awarded “Breakthrough Female Athlete.”  Continuing her success, Alsaif took first place at the World Combat Games and at the Saudi Games; she anticipated making her amateur MMA debut for the PFL in 2024.”

We certainly look forward to her progress.

Multi-brand franchise group Verge Fit Holdings plans to open 13 Lumin Fitness locations across Texas over the next three years

DALLAS, Jan. 23, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Lumin Fitness, The World’s Smartest Fitness Studio, announced today the signing of a 13-unit development deal with its first franchise partner, Verge Fit Holdings (“Verge”). This inaugural franchise agreement closely follows the brand’s launch in late 2023 and outlines expansion plans for key Texas markets over the next three years including Austin, Houston and Dallas.

The Houston-based Verge team brings extensive business acumen and franchising expertise to the Lumin network. The investment group, founded by Raheel Suria, Syed Shah, Jawad Rawra, Malik Kheraj and Ali Lakhany, currently operates nearly 200 franchise locations across the United States with renowned brands including Marriott and Hilton Hotels and T-Mobile.

“We were actively exploring opportunities to diversify our portfolio, seeking a concept that not only aligned with our investment criteria but also presented a substantial growth opportunity. When we were introduced to Lumin Fitness, it immediately resonated with us. The uniqueness of the business model and technology, the experience of the team and the potential for scalability were exactly what we were looking for,” said Raheel Suria, Partner at Verge. “This initial venture into Lumin Fitness is just the beginning. Our aspirations go far beyond just a handful of units; we have every intention of expanding our footprint to own and operate over 100 units.”

Lumin Fitness is revolutionizing the boutique fitness industry with an AI-infused fitness concept that utilizes the latest advances in technology to deliver a gamified and hyper-personalized workout experience in a group fitness setting. In September 2023, the brand opened its first studio in Irving-Las Colinas, Texas, featuring wall-to-wall LED screens that immerse members in a highly interactive fitness environment that blends artificial intelligence, digital displays, motion tracking and object detection to make workout sessions more efficient and engaging.

With a team of fitness, franchising and gaming industry veterans at the helm, the Lumin Fitness concept was created not only to change the game for fitness consumers, but also to introduce an entirely unique new franchise opportunity with minimal staffing, improved automation and operational efficiencies. Lumin is actively seeking more prospective owners and views this partnership with Verge as a direct reflection of how the brand wants to continue growing.

“Verge isn’t just our first franchise partner; they are a testament to our commitment to cultivating a network that values quality over quantity,” said Craig Sherwood, Chief Development Officer at Lumin Fitness. “Our goal is to create an exclusive club of strong multi-unit operators who are as invested in our success as we are in theirs.”

Those interested in growth opportunities with Lumin Fitness can learn more during a live webinar scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, at 7 p.m. CT. The webinar, which will be led by members of the brand’s development team, will provide an overview of the brand’s franchise model and a studio tour as well as the qualifications and steps required to become a franchisee. Webinar registration is now open HERE.
