March 18, 2024,

They are on the world’s largest stage.

They are getting ready to compete.

And what are they doing?

Smiling, slightly laughing and bantering with the referee.

Those are all good signs.

Good natured.

We would describe them both as company fighters, where, within their circle of competition, they know the other wrestlers very well. Very few stranger fights. Unless they travel here, to Troisdorf, Germany.

That is what Czech Republic’s Siberia and England’s Ultra have in common.

They do have their differences as well.

Siberia is a fit larger girl and Ultra is smaller and shapely.

Both are experienced.

In her circle of Lilith, Alkaia, Lara, Diana and Artemis, all of those girls can or have defeated Siberia. So she is experienced, with an asterisk.

Ultra is solid but has lost quite a bit as well. Still, when she met Artemis, she held her own.

Based upon that, we sense Ultra will win this one in a close contest.

Time to find out.

SIBERIA VS ULTRA

The two beauties begin by standing and flexing with brilliant smiles. Finally they come to the center and begin on their knees.

The match starts off unconventional in that Ultra accidentally head butts Siberia in the nose. They are good natured about it but that had to hurt.

Siberia smiles and takes a brief break.

They start again with upper torso strikes until Siberia traps Ultra in a floor to upper body scissor. Ultra is trapped but we’ve seen this movie before. To her credit, this most likely will not submit her. She doesn’t give in. Siberia now transfers it into a full on Triangle Choke.

Will this be our first submission?

Not yet.

As we watch more and more of Ultra’s films, our respect for her ability to withstand tough holds for long periods of time without tapping out is amazing. We would not describe it as defensive but more comparable to a test of endurance.

As she is doing here, and yes, she eventually breaks the hold.

Still, Siberia continues to control the action with her strong legs. Ultra is trapped again in a side head scissor and it is the insertion of her left arm inside of those strong thighs that prevents Siberia from completely crunching her. As well as Siberia is doing, there is a problem.

She can’t close the deal.

Someone from the audience encourages her to grab Ultra’s right arm. Very good idea because then she would have a combination hold which is far more effective, especially if an arm bar is applied.

The opportunity passes her by.

Ultra immediately seizes an opportunity to break the hold and leap on top of Siberia. First comes the smother attempt, which Siberia is fighting off, then the grapevine is applied. A brutal combination hold. Siberia groans and taps out.  Ultra wasted no time closing the deal, compared to Siberia.

1-0 for Ultra (4:52).

Siberia gathers herself. Time to engage.

The Czech beauty gains the initial advantage and similar to before, uses her strong legs to capture Ultra in a floor to sitting scissor. Ultra, once again, is wise enough to have her arms in between the scissor to prevent a full crunch. Someone in the audience advises Siberia to pull Ultra’s head down. Good idea. Siberia squeezes and gains a submission.

1-1 (6:46).

Ultra looks at the audience in the direction of the person who coached Siberia. “Who gave you tips”? She asks with a smile. Whoever it was?

Good tip.

The two girls hydrate and come back to the center.

They begin by hand fighting and Ultra immediately leaps at Siberia’s head and neck area, securing a headlock with her left arm and takes Siberia down. Siberia groans loudly. Ultra tightens the hold. In pain, Siberia taps out.

When a submission is captured that quickly, there is not much an audience member can do to help you.

2-1 for Ultra (8:00).

Time to engage.

They grapple and Siberia quickly goes back to what she knows, which is to fight from the floor and use her legs to control the smaller Ultra. We didn’t say “knows best” because, in our research experience, it is rarely wise to fight from the bottom. If you lose your scissor hold, all your opponent has to do is fall on top of you and then engage from the top position.

Siberia uses her strong legs to scissor, roll over and control Ultra. Soon?

Ultra breaks the holds. Next? You already know the answer.

She falls right on top of Siberia.

Fortunately for Siberia they are near the edge of the mats, battle off and go back to the center to start over.

As they begin, interestingly Ultra tries to apply the floor to sitting body scissor on a larger girl, which fails miserably and Siberia instantly falls on top of her. She is trying to use her larger body for positioning in a cross body pin styled position. The two struggle.

Ultra escapes.

The British girl wisely goes back to what works and captures Siberia in a brutal headlock. Siberia twirls to escape and Ultra twirls with her to prevent that escape.

Ultra is better at preventing.

She squeezes tight and Siberia taps out.

3-1 for the British star (10:42).

It appears Ultra has a minor injury to her lip but like a trooper she trudges on.

As they engage, the British brunette gets the better of the upper hand fighting and secures Siberia with another dreaded headlock from the left side.

She takes her down.

Typically, today, this should end in a submission.

This time Siberia seems determined to break the hold to prevent this match from turning into a blowout. Surprisingly, she breaks the hold.

Well done.

They decide to take a brief water break. In the audience we see that Lucrecia has walked in the room and sat down.

The two female warriors engage again and this time Siberia is far more aggressive in taking Ultra down. She elongates Ultra out and goes for the smother at the edge of the mats. Ultra uses both arms to fence her off. Siberia is pressing the issue and apparently there are no pin submissions in the match or Ultra would have been counted out a long time ago.

Oh well.

Ultra eventually escapes.

Siberia is instantly all over her and takes Ultra down and once again is in the top position. Ultra quickly uses both arms to block a full smother. Siberia is sitting on top of Ultra, working her arms but doesn’t appear to have a clear plan. This goes on for some time. She translates it into a floor to sitting body scissor, which places her on the bottom, not the best strategy and tries to submit Ultra, who is rarely submitted with that type of submission attempt.

Siberia is persistent though.

She keeps Ultra trapped in that floor to sitting body scissors easily for over a minute, tossing and slinging her around, but not remotely getting a submission. Ultra temporarily breaks the hold, but falls right back into it.

No matter.

Time is on her side.

And it runs out.

A solid victory for the British star, who once again, shows tremendous defensive and endurance skills.

Femwrestle Events bring out the best.
