Femwrestle International Classic, Czech Artemis Vs England’s Ultra, Something Has To Give

Champions do not always have to meet for a match to be primed for firecracker status.

Two mid-level wrestlers with something to prove can be a very intriguing matchup.

Especially in front of a live audience on, the then, world’s greatest stage.

Artemis of the Czech Republic vs Great Britain’s Ultra. It promises to be a good one.

Artemis has a stable of very good wrestlers in her circle. Diana and Lara are the elite and Siberia, Lilith and Alkaia round out the rest. You can never give a second rate effort and expect to beat them.

Ultra cut her teeth at the legendary London wrestling studio and has met some of England’s finest. She has also wrestled at the highly respected TC Wrestling group.

We have not seen this match in years but based upon the skill level that we have seen, we expect Artemis to win.

Actually, there is a lot of pride at stake for both of them.

This is match number 12 at the May 2015 Femwrestle Event in Troisdorf, Germany.

It is time to go ringside.

ULTRA VS ARTEMIS

Speaking of Czech stars, we see Alkaia and Lilith in the audience.

The two gorgeous combatants, Artemis and Ultra, pose and flex.

It is time to get started.

They begin on their knees with upper hand fighting. Ultra gets the best of it and captures Artemis in a headlock and takes her down. The Czech beauty struggles to get away but Ultra is hanging on for dear life. She absolutely should because this is a very unique opportunity. Someone in the audience says something and Ultra laughs.

That was a mistake.

Artemis quickly rolls the British brunette into a side body scissor. Ultra has the headlock, Artemis the scissors. A small war of attrition begins, which Artemis wins.

She breaks the headlock and traps Ultra in a floor to sitting body scissor.

The beautiful British girl struggles.

Ultra’s efforts fights off a combination hold where Artemis was trying to retain the scissor headlock and grasp Ultra’s left arm as well. They are both in the elongated position.

More struggle.

Ultra finally breaks the hold and the two Fem Competitors start again.

They engage from their knees.

The British maiden quickly goes for a Guillotine Choke, but can’t sustain it.

Time for Artemis to go on the offensive.

She traps Ultra in a floor to sitting body scissor and squeezes. Ultra grimaces but she will survive this. Soon Artemis flips her over, elongates the brunette out and tries for a smother pin count.

Ultra kicks out of the hold.

Things are starting to heat up as we watch the audience stare intently.

Artemis is determined to make the floor to sitting scissor work and even pulls down Ultra’s head for good measure. Ultra is just as determined not to be submitted by that typically pedestrian hold and eventually breaks it.

She quickly captures Artemis in a headlock.

Great move.

Ultra applies the pressure and makes Artemis uncomfortable but they are near the edge of the mats and Honey stops the action and asks them to come back to the center.

Artemis gains the first advantage with a form of a Guillotine Choke that morphs into a headlock that is soon lost.

Ultra gains the advantage and tries a headlock of her own and loses it as well.

They engage from the knees.

Push forward, push back.

After struggle, Artemis seizes the opportunity as Ultra gives up her back. Artemis flattens her out on her stomach with an attempt at a chin lock. Ultra struggles and breaks free but Artemis maintains control. The Czech star soon rolls Ultra into a floor to sitting body scissor, pulls the brunette’s head forward and downward and squeezes. Ultra continues to resist but the slender Czech continues to ratchet up the pressure on Ultra’s neck until she taps out. Over eight minutes into the closely contested match, there is finally a submission.

1-0 for Artemis (8:19).

The girls take a brief break as Artemis walks over to Lilith who hands her something to hydrate with. Ultra walks off camera as well.

Time to get back to action.

They begin with hand fighting and Artemis gets the best off it and finds herself on top of Ultra.

She tries for a smother.

The battle soon morphs itself into Artemis still in control, applying a floor to sitting body scissors.

Ultra breaks the hold and now she is fighting from the top and tries to apply a smother herself. Artemis kicks and rolls the British star off of the mats.

Honey has them come back to the center.

The audience applauds their efforts.

Back on their knees, returned to the center, they start once more.

Ultra surprises Artemis by quickly capturing a fierce Guillotine Choke with her left arm, taking the stealth star forward and downward. Artemis responds by aggressively placing her left forearm across Ultra’s throat but too little, too late. Ultra cranks the choke and Artemis taps out.

1-1 (11:32).

The audience stays riveted. This match is a good one.

As the engage, Artemis gains the upper hand and fights from the top. She soon forces her body, in particular the waist, across Ultra’s throat. Ultra is struggling underneath the cross body pin.

Will she surrender?

Ultra is pushing back and finally breaks the hold but since Artemis is fighting from the top, she falls forward and is instantly on top of Ultra for a potential smother. Artemis transfers the hold into a powerful upper body thigh Triangle Choke and squeezes hard. Once again, Ultra is in trouble. Artemis begins to use those powerful legs to roll Ultra around. They fall partially off of the mats as Honey inquires as to their positioning but Artemis does not want to give up this advantage and continues to press it.

The Czech star finally releases the hold and the two combatants come back to the center. Ultra’s hair is drenched in sweat as she adjusts it.

Once they begin, Artemis is the clear aggressor and encases Ultra in another fierce Guillotine Choke and begins to pull and crank. Ultra is trying to escape but appears to be tiring.

Still, she executes an escape.

Artemis does not give up and continues to press the issue from the top as Ultra tries to fend her off with her legs. Artemis gains the smother position and refuses to let go of Ultra’s head and neck region, applying the pressure.

More pressure.

Artemis is relentless in trying to obtain one more submission. Ultra is completely on the defensive but determined not to give up. Artemis presses from the top elongated position but Ultra uses both arms to fence her off.

If this match were scored on points, Artemis, as the constant aggressor, would be the clear winner.

But it is not scored on points.

Time runs out.

Kudos to both girls but amazement goes to Ultra for not giving in, though under extreme duress.
