One television series that makes that clear is FBI International.

FBI: International is an American crime television series that airs on CBS.

It is the second spin-off from Dick Wolf‘s drama FBI and the third series in the FBI franchise.

The series follows a team of FBI Special Agents who investigate crime and terrorism abroad.

The series follows members of the FBI‘s international “Fly Team”, elite Special Agents headquartered in Budapest who locate and neutralize threats against American interests around the world principally in Europe.

We love the series.

We can see why the production crew would want to have the series located in scenic Budapest.

Start with breakfast.

In Budapest, people usually have a large breakfast.

Hungarian breakfast generally is an open sandwich with bread or toast, butter, cheese or different cream cheeses. In combination it may include, cold cuts such as ham, liver pâté, bacon, salami, mortadella, sausages such as kabanos, beerwurst or different Hungarian sausages or kolbász.

Traditionally fresh tomatoes and green peppers (sometimes scallion, radish and cucumber) are served with these when they are in season. Eggs (fried, scrambled or boiled) may also be part of breakfast.

Here in Northern California, San Francisco in particular, we like to relax at coffee shops, pontificate and people watch with a cup of exotic coffee.

It is incredibly relaxing.

In Budapest, you can do the same.

The coffee shops in Budapest are often a meeting place for Hungarian writers and artists.

In your case, session lovers as well.

There you might find inspiration, vision and creativity while you relax with a cup of coffee and a delicious decadent cake and simply admire the beautiful and often historic surroundings.

Take in a film festival.

On Body and Soul is a 2017 Hungarian drama film written and directed by Ildikó Enyedi.

The story revolves around a CFO of a slaughterhouse and the newly appointed meat quality inspector who discover they can communicate with each other through their dreams, leading to an unlikely romance.

It won the Golden Bear in the main competition section of the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.

It was selected as the Hungarian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film and was nominated for the Oscar at the 90th Academy Awards.

Alexandra Borbély won the European Actress award at the European Film Awards for her performance in the film.

Here is the basic creative storyline.

Endre, a CFO at an abattoir, and Mária, the newly hired quality inspector, experience a recurring dream of being a pair of deer in the forest, though they are not aware that it is a shared dream.

Eventually they will be.

Lunch is the major meal of the day, traditionally with several courses, but often just one course in modern times.

Cold or hot appetizers may be served sometimes.

Often popular is fish, eggs or liver, then soup. Soup is followed by a main dish.

The main dish is an offering that includes meat, side dishes and salad which precedes the dessert. Fruit may follow. In Hungary, pancakes or crepes may be served as a main dish or as a dessert but not for breakfast.

Salad is typically served with meat dishes, made of lettuce with tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, or some pickled variant of them.

A simple thin sliced cucumber or tomato salad in vinaigrette is also typical. Salads such as Salade Olivier or potato salad are made of boiled potatoes, vegetables, hard-boiled eggs, mushrooms, fried or boiled meat or fish, in vinaigrette, aspic or mayonnaise. These salads are eaten as appetizers or even as a main course.

Dinner is typically less important than lunch, and there is no typical Hungarian dinner.

It may either be a lunch-type meal, with multiple courses and the same foods one would serve for lunch, or it could be the same as a traditional Hungarian breakfast, with bread, cold cuts, cheeses, tomatoes and peppers as described above.

Every city has special occasion celebrations.

When dinner is an important occasion it will be prepared the same way and with the same courses a full lunch would be. Just like in America, when it’s not an important occasion, it’s a good time to eat leftovers.

Hungarian meal times are somewhat flexible. Dinner is typically served from 6-9 pm.
