April 15, 2023,

INCREDIBLE SUBMISSION WRESTLER, SEXY, CURVY SESSION PROVIDER

Evolving, growing and changing.

That speaks to the depth and width of the fully competitive female submission wrestling industry. Virtually all new girls are showing up at events with solid MMA skills.

We love the sessions as well.

Always.

That’s why we report the news. It’s hard to keep up.

That’s a good thing.

We’re going to start this news report inside the industry and, in terms of sessions, we have come to feel, based upon extensive experience, that the women who wrestle competitively at women’s wrestling events, have higher standards than those who don’t.

A Session Woman that we have been extremely impressed with, watching her competitively wrestle, at Monica’s recent event is Gabi from Bulgaria.

She is curvy, gorgeous and can take you down to the mats with power.

We recently purchased two of Gabi’s matches from Monica’s March 2023 event. This sexy girl can wrestle as she previously competed against DWW legend Kimbra and battled her to a draw.

At her profile she shares that she is sweet and attractive and is a fighting machine.

We agree.

Gabi is a fighting machine with extensive training in Judo and Sambo where she was a champion.

Ready for a challenge?

She explains that she is capable of taking everyone down and can win a submission in under 20 seconds.

Sounds like fun.

WOMEN’S PFL NEWS

As reported by mmanews.com, “Larissa Pacheco will help launch the PFL’s newest division, the women’s featherweight division, at PFL 2. She’ll move down to 145lbs to face Julia Budd after the women’s lightweight division was disbanded.

Pacheco made a name for herself when she defeated Kayla Harrison at the 2022 PFL Championships. Harrison isn’t a part of the PFL season for the first time in his tenure with the league.”

Can you imagine a PFL season that does not include the knock out machine, Kayla Harrison?

It is hard for us to imagine that but we guess we’ll just have to get used to it. It will be intriguing to see if the PFL women’s division can hold the same audience attention in 2023 without her.

BLOCKBUSTER AGREEMENT, WWE, UFC TO MERGE

Did any of you see this coming?

This is titanic news.

As posted by hollywoodreporter.com, “UFC president Dana White celebrated the landmark $21 billion deal to merge his mixed martial arts promotion with the WWE by sitting ringside (Octagonside?) with a trio of WWE hall of famers at UFC 287, which was held at the Kaseya Center in Miami on April 8.”

This is staggering news.

With questions, reactionary analysis and detractors.

The team at theconversation.com breaks the news, “On April 2, the second day of WrestleMania 39, CNBC broke the news that WWE is to be sold to Hollywood talent agency, Endeavor Group Holdings Inc. Endeavour, which also owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is to merge the “two iconic, complementary, global sports and entertainment brands: UFC and WWE” to form a new “US$21-plus billion [£18.5 billion] live sports and entertainment company”.

We are still trying to wrap our brain around that and apparently so are others.

The global sports entertainment giant espn.com noted, “Popular UFC welterweight Kevin Holland would be a natural fit for pro wrestling with his oversized personality. But Holland was not nearly as bullish about the possibility of going to WWE as some of his peers. “I fight,” Holland said. “I don’t fake fight.”

Okay. Message received.

In January 2023, it was reported that professional wrestling promotion WWE was exploring a potential sale, with Endeavor being among potential suitors.

Its founder Vince McMahon had stepped down as CEO in mid-2022 amidst a misconduct investigation. Endeavor Streaming had been providing backend services for WWE’s streaming platform WWE Network since 2019.

So, who is this Endeavor Company anyway?

Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. is an American holding company for talent and media agencies with its primary offices in Beverly Hills, California.

The company was founded in April 2009 after the merger of the William Morris Agency and the original Endeavor Talent Agency. Endeavor represents artists in film, television, music, theater, digital media, and publishing.

The huge A-List names keep coming.

It also represents the NFL and NHL.

Endeavor owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and Professional Bull Riders (PBR).

The group owns a 20% stake in film and television production company Fifth Season, with the remaining 80% owned by South Korean entertainment and retail company CJ ENM.

Have you digested all of that?

It is a lot.

Let’s face it. This was just the appetizer. The larger servings are still to come.

Here in part in why.

SPORTS BETTING ON SCRIPTED WWE MATCHES

fciwomenswrestling.com femcompetititor.com grapplingstars.com, Pavel-Danilyuk-pexels.com

As detailed by usatoday.com, “World Wrestling Entertainment is looking to venture further into the sports betting landscape. According to a CNBC report, WWE is exploring legalized betting on scripted matches. The company has reportedly held discussions with state gambling regulators in Colorado and Michigan.”

That sounds questionable.

Step one. People across the country place their bets on which WWE wrestler will win his or her big match.

Step two. WWE leadership is aware on who the big money is trending.

Do they now make sure that a particular wrestler loses and collect a bonanza of money on losing bets? As individuals, in leadership positions, do they privately bet large sums of money on the wrestler they know, with their inside information, is going to win?

There was a time when the NFL completely disassociated itself from legalized gambling but the huge money that have been paid by sports betting organizations may have helped change their minds.

Maybe this will calm our fears.

USA Today adds a potential deal could change the WWE creative process. WWE talent wouldn’t know the result of their matches until hours before performing. It would significantly alter how storylines are presented in the buildup to weekly shows and premium live events.

Okay. There are the public rules and then there is reality. Will the WWE talent truly not know the result of their scripts ahead of time when there is, say, $10 million dollars at stake?

What say you?

Stay tuned on all of the above.

We still have plenty of ringside and match reviews coming for you from the Submission Room’s and Wrestling Monica’s recent events, primarily on our associate Grappling Stars website (grapplingstars.com). That is a slight change. We will keep you posted.

Until then, be safe and happy and we’ll see you again on May 1, 2023.

Take care.
