June 10, 2022,

They are not number one.

Yet.

They do keeping making news that could make you feel like they are the most popular MMA promotion.

The PFL keeps making news and most important?

Keep raising money.

Big money.

Kayla Harrison is the Crown Jewel in their female fighting portfolio. She has a huge fight coming up with Julia Budd.

What is even larger news is the massive sums of money the PFL is so skillfully raising.

They have now enhanced their ability to raise even more funding. Why?

Alex Rodriguez is now joining their board.

Alexander Rodriguez, nicknamed “A-Rod,” is an American former professional baseball shortstop and third baseman, businessman and philanthropist. Rodriguez played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Seattle Mariners (1994–2000), Texas Rangers (2001–2003), and New York Yankees (2004–2016).

Mr. Rodriguez is the chairman and CEO of A-Rod Corp as well as the chairman of Presidente beer.

He is part owner of the National Basketball Association‘s (NBA) Minnesota Timberwolves.

Mr. Rodriguez began his professional baseball career as one of the sport’s most highly touted prospects, and is considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time.

With a career .295 batting average, Rodriguez amassed over 600 home runs (696), over 2,000 runs batted in (RBI), over 2,000 runs scored, over 3,000 hits, and over 300 stolen bases, the only player in MLB history to achieve all of those feats.

He was also a 14-time All-Star, winning three American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards, 10 Silver Slugger Awards, and two Gold Glove Awards.

Rodríguez is also the career record holder for grand slams with 25.

Wouldn’t you love a mega star to go to bat for you?

Critics aside, we’ve noticed the persistent and successful job the PFL has done in raising the big bucks. We have written about a number of female MMA friendly organizations but none of them even come close to raising the kind of money the PFL has.

Others are noticing as well.

The team at mmasucka.com posted, “The Professional Fighters League (PFL) announced in March that starting in 2023, the PFL will begin holding pay-per-view (PPV) events. Further financial details concerning these PPV events have just emerged that can have massive implications for top fighters. PFL Founder Donn Davis has just said that the “top two” fighters will get the opportunity to get a split of 50/50 pay-per-view shares with the company in a post on Instagram.”

Fifty percent. Think about how much money one great fight can generate.

From NFL and College Football to MMA Fighting, this is a great time period to be an elite athlete.

The group at sportscasting.com share, “The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has only been around for a few years, but it has already made an impact. The UFC continues to have a stranglehold in terms of MMA dominance, but the PFL is cementing itself as the solid second-most popular MMA promotion.”

They add, with its unique season structure, the PFL could even grow beyond where it is today.

We’re certain, barring the sky falling, they are going to surge beyond where they are today.

Here is another reason why.
