Femwrestle Mat Classic, Brenda Vs Riona, Rare Treasured German Memory

Proclaiming these princesses as a national treasure, may make both of them blush.

We get a little flush just saying it but the memories of both German maidens, Brenda and Riona, who competed at the great Femwrestle Events, are a treasure.

Like the beautiful German flower Centaurea cyanus.

Also known as the cornflower. Bright and blueish purple.

The cornflower is also often seen as an inspiration for the German Romantic symbol of the Blue Flower. Due to its traditional association with Germany, the cornflower has been made the official symbol of the annual German-American Steuben Parade.

It is time to go down memory lane and have a parade for both Brenda and Riona through match reviews.

BRENDA AND GERMAN FEMALE WRESTLING HISTORY

Time for a little back story.

Germany blessed us with a star named Karine in the competitive female submission wrestling industry so it was inevitable that we wrote about her.

She dominated at the Fighting Style event in Berlin and was a major force at DWW.

It has been hard to replace her.

Zahra had the potential but has been inconsistent in competing at events.

The newer German warriors include Sandra and Riona but the girl who seems to have the most star power potential combined with the girl next door fresh faced looks is Brenda.

So, we know today that Warrior Amazon, Curie and Kiniku are all making a name for themselves. Thus, for a moment, we are static in the past.

Brenda, carrying the memory of great German female submission wrestling lore on her back given the size of those gorgeous muscular shoulders is challenging but not impossible.

As we have watched her compete at the great Femwrestle events, though incredibly inexperienced and limited in skill, her enthusiasm, passion and aggression cannot be overlooked.

We didn’t over look Brenda.

Instead we have purchased all of her pre June 2017 matches at Femwrestle.

The question we have is can Brenda improve enough to become one of the greatest female submission wrestlers in German history?

An examination of her matches might provide us with some insight. We say insight because we are going to do it a little differently this time.

Typically when an Analyst reviews a match, it is from the perspective of winning or losing and why.

We are now going to analyze Brenda’s matches primarily based upon offense and defense and since she has struggled in terms of victories, make some suggestions with an eye to improvement and a breakdown of her weaknesses.

We purchased and viewed Brenda’s matches against Alkai twice, Artemis, Jenna, Lara, Riona and Simon.

BRENDA ON DEFENSE

One of the situations that Brenda frequently found herself in was giving up her back and being submitted by the rear naked choke.

Artemis and Alkai applied this to Brenda with perfection.

You would think that after facing Alkai once that Brenda would improve in this area but she didn’t so Alkai happily trapped her in a rear naked choke, over and over again the second time they faced one another.

Against the smaller Czech beauty Lilith, arguably this was Brenda’s best performance against the Czech contingent but still Lilith constantly beat Brenda to the punch and out maneuvered her.

Lilith’s submissions of choice emanated from one head lock after another which Brenda seemed unable to fend off.

Going into her match with the rising super star Lara, we knew that Brenda would be in tough. What surprised us was given Brenda’s clear muscular upper body strength was how Lara easily bull rushed her, knocking her over more than once, even grabbing Brenda’s leg and dragging her across the mats.

Lara’s weapon of choice were primarily a right arm over the top head lock submission. Understandably she submitted Brenda other ways but weapon number one would have been plenty.

An interesting aspect of Brenda’s line of defense is that as strong as she is, she appears to have no defined plan so whether it is Jenna who loved to apply head and body scissors or Riona who applied anything that she chose to, Brenda had no answer for those tactics either.

BRENDA ON OFFENSE

A life lesson that we learned in the elite high school sports world in Northern California is that, though desirable it is to have an array of tactics, you don’t need to have an arsenal of weapons to be successful.

You just need one really good one that you apply over and over until your opponent adjusts and stops it.

Most of the time, in our case, they never did.

Is Brenda aware of what her weapon of choice is?

We would bet you her fitness shorts that she doesn’t.

After analyzing this Deutschland Darling’s battles, Brenda most likely unknowingly loves to initiate the engagement by using her left arm and trying to come in with an over the top head lock.

Surprisingly given her match results, Brenda is extremely effective at collecting the left arm over the top head lock.

Unfortunately she is not so successful with securing it for a submission. Virtually every girl she faced eventually broke that hold that other more experienced warriors would have sealed.

The most basic move in grappling is the head lock and yet our beauty could virtually never close the deal.

If Brenda could practice closing that move out, given her gorgeous feminine muscle, her submission totals would change dramatically.

BRENDA VS RIONA – FEMWRESTLE EVENT

Getting two beautiful German girls to wrestle one another at a global event is always news, especially in our fully competitive female submission wrestling industry.

Time to go mat side.

Typically the management of Femwrestle or Honey introduces the combatants but this time it’s Antscha who does the honor.

Both Brenda and Riona are dressed in black with Brenda sporting a paisley blue sports bra. There the physical comparisons seem to end.

Riona is tall and stealth like in appearance while Brenda is more feminine muscular and thicker with super sexy strong thighs.

At this point, after the pummeling at the hands of Karina and Lara, we’re tempted to say that finally Riona can pick on someone her own size but actually Brenda has more muscles.

Down on the mats, as the two girls engage, Riona seemingly, the less muscular of the two, pushes Brenda to the mats, both tightly clasping each other in head locks, yet Brenda quickly concedes.

Hmm. Didn’t see that coming.

If their confrontation was based upon the number of matches engaged at the events, Brenda would be the clear frontrunner and yet as the match begins to progress again, Riona is the aggressor, plants herself on top of Brenda and traps Brenda around her neck, sitting upon her frontal school girl pin style and submits Brenda once again.

Engaging again, the two beauties struggle for a moment and Riona quickly takes Brenda down to the mats and stings her with a joint lock and Brenda quickly submits.

At this point, stunned, we wonder if this is going to turn into a rout for Riona.

There clearly is a different spirit here with Riona.

It seems as though competing against her German contemporary has brought out a more serious side to her personality. A Germanic Tigress if you will.

Typically Riona allows herself to be bull rushed in the beginning of engagement but here she is beating Brenda to the punch. She’s breaking holds, she is starting to submit Brenda from various positions.

Can the German Maiden with the strong feminine muscles begin to turn it around against Riona?

Maybe.

At one point Brenda finally does what everyone else has successfully done. Riona has a tendency to lower her neck as she comes forward and it as though Brenda finally figures this out and forcefully clasps her hands around the back of Brenda’s neck and pulls her forward.

Finally.

Riona does seem more determined here than usual, breaks the hold and the game is once again a foot.

A pattern seems to emerge. We have written about Brenda before and if Riona has a habit of exposing her neck, Brenda has a habit of not being able to close the deal. Here or any other match, respectfully speaking.

She has numerous chances to submit Riona, who soon escapes and then submits Brenda. Over and over.

Please don’t tell us that Brenda is going to get shut out?

Riona is now starting to pull out all stops, even face sitting Brenda, literally.

Booty to face.

Up to the count of ten and she finally submits her.

I thought Brenda is sporting the shoulder muscles? Brenda is built like the beautifully thick Xena from England. Riona is slender and Brenda can’t throw her off?

Riona is now in full flight applying face sits, crunching body scissors, sitting triangular scissors with her arms out like propellers, joint locks and more as Brenda quickly taps out to virtually every hold without much resistance. In one instance Brenda submits within ten seconds of engagement.

Must admit, didn’t see this coming at all.

The only question left is with all of that wrestling experience, can Brenda submit Riona just once?

SUMMARY

Good question.

When something is unique and wonderful, it can become a treasure.

Perhaps nationally.

For those of us in the female submission wrestling industry, when a rare sighting occurs, like two gorgeous German girls wrestling one another on a global stage, that is our global treasure.
