September 10, 2023,

It was a momentous year.

But when you think about it, in modern times, every year is a momentous year. Good. Bad and in between.

2007 was a momentous year.

In a story that affected the entire world, this was the beginning of the massive 2007-2008 housing crisis and United States financial meltdown where the banks had to be bailed out by the American government or the US economy was about to completely collapse.

Were you in the middle of that? Some of our associates were, lost their homes and tons of money. It was a nightmare.

When we looked up 2007, there were myriads of wars taking place.

This is why we love competitive sports. Like it or not, take it seriously or not, it is one of our grandest escapes from a volatile and troubling planet.

In sports, maybe you remember this one.

In one of the first football games to air on the Big Ten Network, Appalachian State University upsets the University of Michigan, 34–32, at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, the first time an NCAA Division I FCS school defeats an AP-ranked school from the Bowl subdivision.

It was bad news at the Big House.

In our industry’s Big House, the legendary DWW wrestling room, with the padded light gray walls and blue mats, where the legendary Antscha still has her events to this day, our fearless leader would meet Hungary’s, then most popular muscle girl, in Anita D.

One of our favorites.

The predecessor to today’s Hungarian muscle princess in Dolly.

Only she was blonde.

This was momentous in that it was one of the few and last matches that Anita would wrestle.

Antscha was in her early years and one of the more quiet DWW girls.

We have the same challenge that we had with Renee of Catfight Haven that we do with Antscha.

The girls don’t fight the boss the same way they do the other girls, so it is hard to write about those matches as fully competitive.

In 2007, as far as we know, Antscha was not the boss.

With Anita D. soon retiring and Antscha a rising star, this was the perfect time for the two beautiful girls to meet.

It’s match time.

The two young Hungarian girls begin with passive hand guards, trying to seek an upper advantage with head control. This shows that they are patient and properly trained, as opposed to immediately trying the floor to sitting body scissor approach.

They keep measuring one another and begin to reach behind one another’s neck, trying to secure that dreaded headlock. Antscha strikes first but loses the hold and in the process, accidentally turns her back on Anita who immediately seizes the opportunity for a capture.

Antscha wisely captures the blonde girl’s muscular arm to prevent a full grab, backs Anita back up against the wall and inserts her leg behind Anita’s left leg, fighting for a possible trip and take down.

Both great moves.

Anita is not letting go of that headlock. Antscha has her in one as well. Both girls are bent down with their heads forward, trying for a takedown. It is a titanic struggle.

The both tumble to the mats. They struggle.

Antscha wins the engagement and as Anita is bent over, the future event owner has her captured from the frontal position. Anita is not done. The muscles in her beautiful back are rippling as she continues to try and fight Antscha off.

Antscha is trying desperately to hold on to her control but it is very tenuous at best. They struggle around some more. And some more. Antscha only has semi-control, Anita continues to give push back. Finally, on top from the side, Antscha captures Anita’s left arm in a scissor. With a headlock and arm scissor combo, Antscha can now take full control for a possible submission.

Throughout the match, young Anita is squeaking out loud.

Then she breaks the hold. Completely. Now that is something to squeak about (3:15).

The two gorgeous warriors go down to their knees.

This time Antscha knows exactly what she wants to do, leaps at Anita’s upper torso area and takes her down. Anita sounds like a teenager. She struggles and once again breaks Antscha’s hold.

Her time in the gym is really paying off.

Antscha is relentless and captures the exquisite blonde against the wall. She has the control and yet, Anita doesn’t appear to be in trouble. Antscha tries to slide Anita into a scissor. Anita escapes that as well. Anita’s escape capabilities are to be admired, against a star like Antscha, but it does raise a question.

When is Anita going to take the offensive?

How can you win if you remain on the defensive and do not attempt a submission?

They begin again on their knees.

Antscha launches for the headlock and gets it, though she is not interested in maintaining it. She continues to try and slide Anita’s head towards her thigh for a scissor and Anita keeps squirming away.

At least Antscha is still on top. (5:08).

Anita continues to struggle underneath, almost trapped in a leg Triangle Choke, using her right forearm to block Antscha’s submission. Antscha realizes that and painfully removes Anita’s right arm, making the blonde girl scream. Antscha checks to see if she is okay. She is. Then the potential pin count starts.

Anita escapes and gives up her back, though Antscha can’t seem to do much with that.

They struggle around some more. Antscha is clearly on the offensive but, at least at this point, appears to be controlling very little. She attempts a side head scissor, temporarily has Anita in trouble, but the beautiful athletic blonde escapes that. Then she maneuvers her into a Triangle Choke, even cranking on her left leg but Anita escapes that as well.

Finally Antscha gives up her back. Can Anita do something with this? (7:15).

Not this time.

She captures Antscha, tries to pull her backwards into a possible behind the back body scissor but loses the hold. Antscha out muscles her, winds up on top and a pin count begins.

Squeaking out loud, Anita escapes once again.

Antscha is determined. She tracks the beautiful blonde down and applies a cross body pin, combined with an arm triangle headlock. This time she appears to have the muscle girl trapped. Anita kicks her gorgeous muscular legs to escape but this time Antscha truly has her. Anita is counted out at ten.

Finally.

1-0 for Antscha (8:45).

The two begin standing, engaging slowly while making strong eye contact. Antscha makes the first leap at Anita’s head, who breaks the hold, circles behind Antscha and captures the future legend in a behind the back headlock.

Antscha backs her up against the wall and slides down to the mats, preventing any thoughts of a behind the back body scissor. Anita is trying to scissor her from behind but the experienced Antscha scissors the muscular girl’s left leg to prevent that from happening.

What is your next move Anita? Do you have one?

Apparently not.

The beautiful blonde loses the top position.

Antscha is now on top of her and all over a bent over Anita, from the frontal position. They continue to struggle and scramble around. Anita uses those strong biceps to try and push Antscha’s head back into a lower head scissor. Antscha greatly resists. At least she is showing some aggression. Some offense.

Finally.

Antscha breaks the hold.

She is in the top position.

Now she begins to try and scissor Anita from above. Trying. Trying some more. They continue to struggle in a circle with Antscha in the top position. Anita lunges upward and the top of her head hits Antscha in the jaw.

Well, if you can’t get her one way, try another.

Anita apologizes for the accidental hit. Antscha takes a moment but she is okay. The hit to the jaw appears to give Antscha some renewed motivation. She grasps Anita in a powerful headlock and takes her down to the mats with a thud. Anita is locked up and in pain. She taps out.

The match is over.

Antscha wins 2-0.

This was an intriguing matchup, possibly historic, because we see Antscha in her earlier DWW years and the glorious Anita D. a beautiful blonde, blessed with the perfect blend of femininity and curvy muscles, who only wrestled for a very short time.

For as long as we can, it is important to keep these precious fully competitive female wrestling moments alive, for a new generation to enjoy.

As we stated earlier, 2007 was a momentous year.
