America’s APL Wrestler Regan, Are Mainstream Events In Her Future? (2,200 Words)

You hope that it happens more sooner than later.

Worst case scenario is, never at all.

When will she cross over into the more mainstream realm?

This happened with the late incredibly gorgeous blonde American actress Marilyn Chambers.

Marilyn was an American pornographic actress, exotic dancer, model, actress, singer and vice-presidential candidate.

Not necessarily in that order.

She was probably best known known for her 1972 hardcore film debut, Behind the Green Door, and her 1980 pornographic film Insatiable.

She is ranked at No. 6 on the list of Top 50 Porn Stars of All Time by AVN, and ranked as one of Playboy‘s Top 100 Sex Stars of the Century in 1999.

Although she was primarily known for her adult film work, she made a successful transition to mainstream projects and has been called, drum roll please, “porn’s most famous crossover”.

To some degree she did cross over.

Originally known as the gorgeous blonde in the Ivory Snow commercials, Marilyn won the starring role in film director David Cronenberg‘s low-budget Canadian movie, Rabid, which was released in 1977.

That, was one creepy film. Well done though.

Sasha Grey, is an American actress, model, writer, musician, and former pornographic actress.

Ms. Grey began her acting career in the pornographic film industry, winning 15 awards for her work between 2007 and 2010, including the AVN Award for Female Performer of the Year in 2008.

Then she crossed over.

After her 2009 feature film debut as the lead in Steven Soderbergh‘s The Girlfriend Experience, she starred in independent films including Open Windows, the Canadian comedy horror film Smash Cut and the horror film Would You Rather.

In 2011, she played a fictionalized version of herself in the HBO comedy-drama series Entourage.

Another crossover, well done.

A female submission wrestler with work well-done is America’s Regan.

We love her.

The challenge in writing about her matches is that she mainly plies her trade in the adult wrestling industry.

We have written extensively about DWW matches, adult matches included, because they are the foundation of the fully competitive female submission wrestling industry and their matches were competitively stellar.

We don’t write about DWW as much anymore. We feel we’ve said the most that we can say. Still, their position is so important in women’s submission wrestling history that from time to time, we will still feature them.

Writing about matches where there are adult themes involved are challenging for two reasons.

One is that when we approach a match that is somewhat adult in nature, the question we ask ourselves is, does the sex become the primary focus or the wrestling?

The other challenge is that you have to cross over into the mainstream submission wrestling world if you want to see your career ascend. You will meet tougher wrestlers there who take their craft seriously and will hand you your head on a platter if you don’t.

The good news, if you decide to stay, your game will improve.

Not in the adult wrestling world.

So, with Regan, we’ve known about her for years. She first wrestled in the Eastern United States region with a company and lost most of her matches. She had a catfight in another Eastern city and lost that one as well.

Still, even though she lost, she was continually showing improvement.

Most of her resume is with an adult female wrestling site and she has a very impressive winning record, though it is a record compiled with a company that primarily engages in fantasy matches and even many of their competitive matches, from our view, are semi-competitive at best.

Having said that, we focused on Regan, downloaded some her matches, especially against newer girls, virtually unknown to a mainstream audience, and was very impressed as she completely dominated them in real action.

A great improvement over her previous USA matches.

The match that really caught our eye was when she was going to wrestle an American fetish model named Wenona.

We’ve known about Wenona, primarily in the early post 2010 era where she wrestled at Academy and the Armory in San Francisco, completely adult sites, though the wrestling ranged from semi-competitive to competitive.

She did wrestle a little at Female Wrestling Zone as well.

We would describe her wrestling as solid. Not elite but not a newbie either.

Coming into the match with Regan, given that she is larger than Regan with an athletic body and absolutely more experience, we figured Wenona would win this one.

Let’s find out if we were right.

REGAN VS WENONA

The pre-match credits indicate that Regan is 119 pounds and Wenona will compete at 154.

Regan looks incredible in her black and purple string bikini.

Wenona is methodically stalking Regan and walks into a floor to sitting body scissors. As we’ve stated over and over, the floor to sitting body scissors is not the greatest move because if you can’t hold serve, your opponent is now right on top of you.

Most wrestlers try that with a wrist grab or a head pull.

Regan does something better.

She pulls Wenona’s head into a triangle headlock where she can “crank” on one arm to tighten that hold.

Very good.

Demonstrates some MMA training.

She rolls the gorgeous thicker girl into a side body scissors then slides on top of her.

So far, so good.

Wenona continues to struggle underneath and uses her sensuous thick legs and thighs to kick and roll Regan over.

Now Wenona is on top of her, but still trapped in the floor to sitting body scissors.

Regan clasps tight.

They slowly twirl around the mats with Regan keeping a python like grip around Wenona’s waist. The action is intense, slow and with a purpose.

Wenona finally breaks the hold.

Regan is persistent in capturing her prey and slides Wenona into a surprising “one leg” triangle lock around Wenona’s neck and sits on it for good measure and Wenona taps out.

Haven’t seen that move a lot. Wenona looked a little surprised as well.

The two beautiful women are on their knees and ready to engage. They are not starting with a lot of hand fighting but instead make movements for body control. They are expending a lot of energy as the sweat is glistening on Wenona’s back.

Regan finally takes Wenona down and the larger girl rolls Regan over and tries to mount her. Regan quickly blocks the mount with her right leg and tosses Wenona off.

They engage again and Regan takes Wenona down, who rolls her again, attempts another mount and once again Regan blocks her.

They are wrestling in a small room and have rolled off the mats and on to the carpet and with Wenona on top from the side, they continue to wrestle.

This is indeed an erotic video. The camera is facing Wenona’s big butt graced with a red thong and it looks incredibly sexy. Regan is struggling underneath with her sexy bottom showing as well.

Wenona is trying to smother and squeeze Regan out with a tight headlock.

You can feel the sweat and intensity of struggle.

Finally Regan rolls Wenona, who then rolls Regan, and lands on top in this slow intense sensuous struggle. This match is turning out to be better than advertised.

We would not describe this version of Wenona as muscled but very thick. She has gorgeous soft female body builder thighs that look incredible.

They stay locked in this position for some time. Both have headlocks on one another with Wenona on top.

In this slow war of attrition, Wenona now has the clear advantage as she tightens the headlock and as important, leans her heavier body weight on top of Regan.

This intense quiet struggle goes on for at least another minute.

The fight moves down to their legs as Regan tries to pry Wenona loose while Wenona traps her leg with a triangle crank.

Still, a sensuous sweaty stalemate.

How Regan is withstanding that fierce headlock and body weight hold by Wenona is amazing. Wenona has wrestled quite a bit in her time and she knows how to effectively apply a headlock and Regan is indeed struggling, but she just won’t give.

Major lesson there.

Here Wenona appears to make her first tactical mistake. She is on top but moves around just enough so that Regan can scissor her left leg. We would think more weight and pressure on the headlock would be the approach.

We’ll see.

The slow struggle continues but has moved up to the head and neck area as Regan tries to push her arm underneath Wenona’s chin to push her off.

Wenona still has upper body control but has now lost the headlock.

Unbelievable. Regan manages to push her off. Like prey in the wild, struggling to survive a larger foe, the shapely beauty struggled and struggled until she escapes. All she needs to do is swim or dart away but here, in this female grappling wild, of course she won’t.

The two are back on their knees, starting at square one.

There was no submission but score that round for Regan (13:10).

Glistening with sweat, Wenona wrings her hands. It is warm in there. Regan readies herself as well. They study one another.

Then engage.

Starting as though she was going to hand fight, Wenona goes below the neckline and tries to wrap her arms around Regan and take her down, like a quick strike.

Regan is ready for her and as Wenona lowers her head in that attempt, Regan immediately grabs her neck and forcefully takes Wenona down to the mats in a brutal headlock and lies her body on top of the curvy beauty.

Wenona’s thick legs begin to kick furiously to try and escape. The lower camera angle in incredibly erotic, perfectly capturing the struggling ample woman in a maroon bikini in real action. Reminds us of those great snail mail videos from Flamingo of Florida, back in the day.

As Wenona tries to squirm around out of it, Regan carefully circles with her, tightening the squeeze until the shapely Wenona has no choice but to tap out.

2-0 Regan (14:15).

This is somewhat of a surprise. For Regan to dominate the newer girls is an improvement but not shocking. For her to be soundly be winning against an experienced veteran is a massive upgrade.

It’s not over yet.

This time Wenona goes for the slow hand fighting and upper body control. Regan matches her.

They struggle as though in a choreographed dance.

Soon Regan goes for the headlock once more and takes Wenona down as the heavier girl tries to wrap her in a side body scissors and Regan tries to block it.

In their struggle in the wild, Regan wins and Wenona releases the attempted side body scissor.

Once again the camera angle is the winner, capturing Wenona’s thick athletic smooth butt and thigh area.

It is too erotic to ignore.

Regan is turning up the pressure. She now slides Wenona’s right arm behind her legs for a headlock snare and arm crank combination. In pain Wenona gasps “Arm, tap”.

We will count that as a tap out.

3-0 for Regan (15:55).

They come back to the center of the blue mats.

The cautiously circle one another on the knees. Wenona desires Regan to be more aggressive and stops in place. Regan plays possum wanting Wenona to be aggressive and make a mistake.

Very intriguing.

They both go for an upper hold. Wenona is the aggressor and walks into Regan’s trap as she pulls the dark haired brunette down into a floor to sitting body scissors and tightens the leg squeeze to a python grip with Wenona now bent over.

Like trapped prey, Wenona can barely move as Regan has her trapped around the head with a two arm headlock and squeezed around the waist in a scissor.

The camera loves Wenona’s luscious behind and thighs as the maiden tries to get to her knees.

If Wenona can move her arms behind Regan’s neck, being on top, she is in position for a smother.

She manages to get her right arm behind Regan’s neck.

The upper body struggle is now the focus but Regan still has Wenona trapped in that scissors.

As they struggle towards the center, to both girl’s surprise, the match is called and now is over (20:00).

In terms of a mainstream audience that love fully competitive female grappling, what was the focus? The wrestling or lack of attire?

In a mainstream match, you wouldn’t even need to ask that question.

We focus on America’s Regan because she clearly has the skills now to crossover and wrestle at mainstream International events like Antscha’s in Hungary or The Submission Room and Wrestling Monica’s events in England.

It is those place where she will make a name for herself and improve.

Wrestling in the erotic world is sexy but few know who you are.

Or who you are wrestling.

Wrestle Sativa of England or Dolly of Hungary at a mainstream event and everyone who is serious about competitive female submission wrestling will know who you are.
