July 22, 2023,

You have worked hard in the gym. Especially on the pull down machine.

You have a very nice back.

Probably trained in pushups as well. Good for you.

You like showing off those back muscles, flexing and all.

That’s nice too. Can we make a suggestion?

During battle, just don’t show your back to your opponent. If she is any good, she will make you pay for it and progressively submit you.

And you know what? You should do the same. If she shows you her back, make her pay for it.

When Samantha Grace of Southern California wrestled Isamar the Great, she constantly gave up her back and Isamar made her pay for it. Over and over.

Recently, we reviewed Rada of Belarus vs Hungary’s Dolly, a girl who has some very nice back muscles. The problem in that match was Dolly kept giving up her back to Rada and the Belarus star made her pay dearly for that.

Over and over.

Time to look at ways to make your opponent pay for giving up her back.

Think of grasping her underneath her arms for a Full Nelson, pull her back towards you, and as you begin to flatten out, wrap your thighs around her waist and SQUEEZE as hard as you can.

The challenge she has is, since you have both of her arms wrapped up, how can she pull your scissor apart? Very hard to do. As for you, the time you have spent at the gym should include squats and working out on the leg press machine so your thighs of steel make her cry for a release.

We love that combination hold.

It doesn’t have to be. One hold can do the trick.

This is one we used to see DWW’s Luzia the Great pull off to perfection.

If a girl gave up her back to Luzia, the beautiful Czech blonde would push forward and flatten them out on their stomach, sit on their back, wrap her hands beneath their chin, and pull up and back, very hard. Once the neck stretches so far back, the girl would often cry out in pain and tap.

The good old fashioned chin lock can be very powerful.

The Rear Naked Choke is extremely powerful as well.

At the great Femwrestle Events in Troisdorf, Germany, we saw Europe’s super star Karina apply this choke to perfection. Don’t give up your back to her.

The rear naked choke (RNC) is a chokehold in martial arts applied from an opponent’s back. The word “naked” in this context suggests that, unlike other strangulation techniques found in jujutsu or judo, this hold does not require the use of a keikogi or training uniform.

The choke has two variations.

In one version, the attacker’s arm encircles the opponent’s neck and then grabs their own biceps on the other arm.

In the second version, the attacker clasps their hands together instead after encircling the opponent’s neck. Recent studies have shown that the rear-naked choke takes an average of 8.9 seconds to render an opponent unconscious regardless of the grip that is used.

See how powerful it is?

Learn this one well for two important reasons. One, is that you want to gain the submission but two is that you do not want to hurt your opponent in the process.

Another potent move, when a female wrestler gives up her back, is to grasp her into a headlock, move forward to her side, flip her over and land on top of her, keeping the headlock secure or lie on her back, with you headlock in place and squeeze.

When you are in a fully competitive match, with someone close to your level, or at a higher skill level, no opportunities should be wasted.

Be creative.

Thus far, we have spoken about your opponent giving up her back when her face is away from you.

That is not the only over or behind the back opportunity.

If she is facing you, and during your initial hand fighting and wrist grabbing, she bends down, exposing her back, this is an ideal opportunity to slightly come over her bent down back and apply a Guillotine Choke.

The guillotine choke in judo, is a chokehold in martial arts applied from in front of the opponent, often on the ground but can also be done while standing. The choke involves using the arms to encircle the opponent’s neck that bears a resemblance to the blade of a guillotine.

What will make all of the above holds easier is if you learn basic Jiu-Jitsu.

If you decide to train in this masterful discipline, expand it to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Let’s walk over to the bookstore.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: The Ultimate Guide to Dominating Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Combat Paperback – Illustrated, November 10, 2012

By Alexandre Paiva (Author)

“Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a guide to the most efficient and devastating techniques in popular martial arts by World Champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend Alexandre Paiva.

The book contains over 1,000 full-color photographs demonstrating the moves that made the author the most feared competitor in BJJ circles and now one of the most sought-after instructors. Jiu-Jitsu or Jujutsu came into prominence in the early 90’s when jiu-jitsu expert Royce Gracie won the first, second, and fourth Ultimate Fighting Championships against much larger opponents who were using other styles such as boxing, muay thai, karate, and wrestling. Since then it has become one of the most popular methods in MMA due to its focus on ground fighting.

Learn the techniques that have proven dominant in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments and the Mixed Martial Arts cage:

  • Takedowns
  • The Closed Guard
  • Passing The Closed Guard
  • Butterfly Guard
  • Open Guard Pass
  • Side Control
  • Half Guard
  • Back Mount

With sections devoted to both gi and no-gi techniques, whether training for a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament or a Mixed Martial Arts fight, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one book no true competitor can afford to miss.”

Very comprehensive.

Well-stated.

Life is about taking advantage of your opportunities.

There are two keys to that.

Recognize them when you see it.

Take advantage of them, when you do.

Hands down, when a female wrestler gives up her back to you that is a great opportunity.

By applying the above techniques, immediately, with no hesitation, you will create a great opportunity for you to win one wrestling match after another.

And remember. If you have a beautiful back, show it to the world. We love to see it.

Just don’t show it to your female wrestling opponent.
