May 23, 2023,

Frank? Please say it isn’t so.

Saturday night is the loneliest night of the week?

The legendary Frank Sinatra seemed to think so. Here are some of the lyrics to his sad song:

“Saturday night is the loneliest night of the week
‘Cause that’s the night that my sweetie and I
Used to dance cheek to cheek

I don’t mind Sunday night at all
‘Cause that’s the night friends come to call
And Monday to Friday go fast
And another week is past.”

We see your point.

What can we do to make Saturday nights come alive?

Watch some wonderful fully competitive women’s wrestling and we’ve found two videos from the vault that will bring some energy to Saturday night.

SAHRYE VS NIKKI

Cat Fighting Angel

Sahrye is now facing Nikki at Cat Fighting Angel.

The match takes place in their signature very dark gray to black padded room.

Nikki has a loud voice but Sahrye’s is much louder. She tells Nikki it’s time to come out and play and that she has heard a lot about her.

Mostly bad. No, make that, all bad.

We like Nikki. She can’t be all that bad. She sure loves to talk during her matches too.

So does Sahrye. At least in the early years.

Nikki tries to match her insults but that is not the key to the match and we can tell that, though Nikki is feisty, her wrestling technique needs improvement.

Talk, as they say, is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.

She tries to initiate the match by wrapping her arms around Sahrye’s body which is a mistake and Sahrye immediately makes her pay for it.

She flattens Nikki like a pancake and attempts a grapevine. Nikki does break the hold but Sahrye keeps her stuck at the bottom and even tells her so.

This goes back and forth with Sahrye in control until she changes strategy and crunches Nikki with a body scissors.

The trash talking continues, the only difference is that Sahrye is backing hers up. She is so confident that she even allows Nikki to start the aggression. Nikki does but with no effect. Sahrye quickly takes the control back and if something worked before, try it again.

Sahrye clasps Nikki’s face towards hers and virtually cuts her in half with another body scissors. Nikki screams that she can’t breathe and taps out.

Sahrye leads 2-0.

Time for a pause.

Something is becoming very apparent.

Nikki does not have the physical strength to fend off Sahrye. She just doesn’t. Skill level is a whole other subject but she doesn’t appear to match Sahrye in that area as well. Based upon that?

This should turn into a rout.

Now Sahrye begins to toy around with Nikki including trapping her in a sitting head scissors and taunting how she hears the sound of silence and Nikki’s big mouth is closed.

At approximately the 12:50 mark, Nikki begins to maneuver for a behind the back body scissors but doesn’t have the strength and can’t hold it.

Sahrye escapes and begins to talk.

Again. Very loudly.

The battle, if we can call it that, begins again and before you know it, Sahrye clasps Nikki in an arm lock and scissor combination, Nikki screams and taps.

Well, we don’t sense a comeback here and there isn’t one.

We purchased and loved a lot of the matches at Cat Fighting Angel.

SARAH BROOKE VS RACHEL DD – MEETING ON DECEMBER OF 2015

In the pre-match introduction as the referee stands in between the two girls, Sarah announces that she has been wrestling off and on for about 6 months and Rachel owns up to wrestling for about 4 years.

The thing is, it seems like Sarah has been wrestling for a lot more than 6 months since the last update at Cat Fighting Angel is August of 2016 where she took on Nikki Delano twice.

Okay, a little gamesmanship is not a bad thing but is she setting sweet Rachel up?

In terms of having a favorite move, both girls decline to give away their secrets.

During the pre-match arm wrestling, it is a struggle, but feminine Rachel is the only one moaning and groaning and Sarah openly states that she hates to lose.

It’s time for the match to begin.

In the stare down, as usual, Rachel doesn’t make extended eye contact which has to give her opponent confidence. Sarah stares with lasers.

Sarah is adorned in a pinkish purple bikini while Rachel is enhanced in a light blue and green.

As the match begins Rachel lunges forward but, without impetus from Sarah, unexpectedly goes down and tries to fight from her knees.

That is a mistake.

Sarah capitalizes upon that and now is not only on top of Rachel but Rachel has given up her back.

It takes a few minutes but predictably Sarah chokes Rachel out from behind.

At this point we were wondering if Rachel would be completely demoralized but she isn’t as she gains control with a fierce headlock. The problem is, as the two girls go down to the mats, Rachel has allowed Sarah to have her back once again.

Sarah soon breaks the hold and from behind has Rachel in a position of weakness again and chokes her out.

The caution for Rachel at this point is that the match could now begin to turn into a rout.

Can Rachel stem the tide?

She begins in earnest again and this round truly goes back and forth except that Sarah is fighting from the top.

Sarah’s MMA skills are really starting to kick in and at some point she has Rachel trapped in an inescapable arm bar. Rachel doesn’t give up and doesn’t tap out.

The referee calls time and for now, Rachel is saved by the bell.

In the appropriate setting, especially an important sports venue, it may call for a domination performance, especially if you are trying to climb in the rankings.

Based upon watching Sarah Brooke consistently defeat the girls at her skill level and experience says that she should, in terms of dominating, for Sarah, virtually every mat setting is very appropriate.

Well, for us, that was fun. Two great female wrestling matches on a Saturday night.

Keep watching great women’s wrestling on a Saturday and you will never be lonely again.
