August 26, 2023,

DWW once stated, “When deciding who belongs in the DWW Hall of Fame you have to start with Hana and then go from there.”

Arguably one of the best and most consistent wrestlers in the DWW elite women’s wrestling compound was Hana.

The Czech star was the cornerstone of the company, won the vast majority of her matches, went on to become a DWW Secretary and would train and mentor a lot of the newer girls coming through.

Her last appearance on the wrestling mats was at the ’99 Summer Event where she won a 4 girl round robin with Luzia, Dagmar and Kriszta.

Hana won all 9 falls. What a way to retire. She was that great.

Female Czech dominance at its finest.

We honor Hana today, because in our second installment reflecting on how the Czech female submission wrestlers dominate, along with Luzia the Great, Hana set the trend.

That trend continues to this day as we look at snippets of how the Czech girls continue to rule the female grappling mats by viewing additional matches that we didn’t feature in part one.

We’ll start with the legendary Daniela, who didn’t wrestle as long as we would have liked, but when she did, she could dominate mightily. Today she faces the legendary Virago star Grace in a well anticipated international fight.

DANIELA VS AMERICA’S GRACE

Under the famous DWW outdoor tent, it is a beautiful day in Europe. The greenery in the background is serene and mesmerizing. You can almost smell it. The sun is shining brightly. This is a perfect day to relax among friends and watch some of the highest levels of female submission wrestling anywhere.

The legendary Jeff the Ref, always adorned in white, will introduce the global fighters as he brings them to the center of the mats.

This International battle will be the best of five falls. First one to three wins.

There is a star studded crowd on hand as we see Gunther and Susanne in the audience.

At first glance, Daniela is more muscular and stronger than Grace, though the Berkeley beauty has a strong martial arts background. She will absolutely need to call upon all of that training today.

Time to engage.

Unlike today’s 2023 women’s wrestling matches, the two women begin on their feet, circling one another. Their intentions appear to be to grab one another from behind the head and neck area for a take down. The two struggle for an advantage. They try tripping one another as well.

Grace gets the trip but Daniela falls upon the smaller princess.

The Berkeley resident has Daniela in a headlock but unfortunately from the bottom position. Daniela continues to push hard underneath Grace’s chin.

Thus far, advantage Daniela.

The Czech Warrior wants a full mount but Grace has her left leg in a scissor and trapped.

Daniela breaks the headlock and furiously is trying to free her beautiful strong thighs. Do that and Grace is in big trouble, especially struggling from the bottom.

The struggle continues.

Daniela is working on a wrist lock, trying to secure and render ineffective, Grace’s right arm.

She gets it locked in.

Next the perfectly muscular brunette goes after Grace’s left wrist.

She locks that in too.

Grace is now one leg lock away from complete disaster. If Daniela breaks that leg free, she can move forward on Grace with a full smother.

The beautiful Czech girl frees her left leg. She now moves forward for the kill.

Jeff the Ref begins to count Grace out. Grace struggles several times and manages to get her shoulder up. Until she can’t. The feminine Grace is counted out at five. First submission to Daniela.

1-0 Daniela (3:42).

Grace gingerly walks back to her corner and we see the legendary Nadege relaxing in a chair behind sunglasses.

As they start again, Grace tries to leap upon Daniela but can’t make it stick and the two tumble to the ground.

More struggle.

Then the both roll on top of one another. Aggressive and very sexy. This plays to Daniela’s strength.

Soon Grace is rolled the wrong way, right into a side body scissor by Daniela, and given the strength of Daniela’s muscular thighs and Grace’s feminine form, this one is over quick. Grace taps out.

2-0 for Daniela (5:15).

A smother and grapevine, now a side body scissor. Daniela is opening up the playbook.

As they break, Grace decides not to take one. She wants to get right back at it.

Brave but is it wise?

Okay. Be careful what you ask for.

As they begin, Grace tries for a headlock and misses. Daniela is instantly all over the sweet girl and once again takes Grace down to the mats with a thud. Grace struggles from the bottom but manages to capture Daniela’s right leg to prevent a full mount.

The pressure mounts as Daniela keeps trying to break her right leg free and thrust forward.

She does. Again.

Now, she is on top of Grace and begins to remove her weak headlock. Daniela is in complete control, rolls Grace on top and finishes the Virago champion off with a floor to sitting body scissors.

Brutal crunch.

Grace’s decimation is over.

3-0 for Daniela.

Jeff explains it well as he raises Daniela’s hand in victory. It was indeed a short order win by the Czech maiden but he praises Grace for even attempting it.

We agree. It takes a lot of courage to take on one of the Czech dominators.

We move up the timeline to a Czech beauty who shined at the great Femwrestle Events.

Lara is a Czech dominator.

LARA VS HUNGARY’S DOLLY

Blessed with muscles that make them look like gorgeous Gym Bunnies, who can rip your head off at a moment’s notice, both Lara and Dolly are ready for battle.

Both have a look of determination in their eyes.

Adorned in black, their feminine muscles are gym perfection. Their wrestling, at times, comes close to that as well.

Time to begin.

They start with muscular upper hand fighting when Lara grasps Dolly behind the neck and pulls her downward. Dolly keeps energetically fighting and gains the first advantage with a headlock and takes Lara down to the ring floor.

Good move.

Bad position.

Dolly lands underneath Lara. If Lara breaks that headlock, she is right on top of Dolly and ready for a smother. Dolly holds on to that headlock for dear life. At this point, there are no exits for the Hungarian star. She has to make this work or face the consequences. Though she has the headlock, Lara is in the upper rear view mirror and closing in.

Lara breaks open the headlock.

From the top position, she traps Dolly in a potential reverse head scissor.

Dolly escapes that, but she crawls right into a tough Guillotine Choke. Dolly uses her muscles to try and escape. Lara uses her muscles to tighten the hold.

Lara wins that struggle.

Dolly taps out (2:43).

Time to engage.

Lara wins the initial hand fighting and pulls Dolly downward and forward. Typically not a great strategy, because you are on the bottom but Lara is talented, skilled and strong enough to pull it off. In part, because she doesn’t plan on being on the bottom long.

She flips Dolly over and is instantly on top of her.

Headlock still in place.

Dolly struggles and circles around from the bottom but Lara is not letting go of that headlock. She has Dolly from behind so she rolls her into a behind the back choke and headlock. She could throw in a scissor as well, but chooses not to. Instead she squeezes with all of her might, tightens and locks in the vice like grip.

The veins are protruding from Dolly’s head.

Enough.

Dolly taps out.

2-0 for Lara (4:40).

At this junction, if this is going to remain competitive, Dolly needs to gain the next submission or this could turn into a rout.

How?

Try something that your opponent is not expecting you to do. Dolly’s game is fairly predictable.

Can she change it up?

Dolly does. Very good.

She begins the next round, arms close to her chest, fairly passive, and then leaps at Lara’s shoulder and neck area to capture a headlock. From the top position and maintains it as they land.

Great move.

The big question is can Dolly hold on to this?

Lara is fighting with all of her might to escape. Dolly is desperately trying to keep the headlock from the top position. Lara manages to wrangle Dolly off so that Dolly’s head is facing Lara’s head, with the headlock, but her body is no longer on top of Lara.

A war of attrition begins and this is now all about strength. Dolly looks stronger, but is she?

She is not.

Lara breaks the headlock and immediately pulls a disappointed Dolly into her body for a possible Triangle Choke.

They struggle.

Lara is now successful in capturing Dolly in a Triangle Choke. She should clasp Dolly’s left arm for an arm bar but doesn’t. Instead she sits on top of her chest area. Her face doesn’t say it, but is almost as though she has become over confident. She should be bent forward but strikes a straight up pose being on top.

Dolly takes advantage of that.

She whips her legs underneath Lara’s arms and pulls her backward and breaks the hold.

Dolly is trying for a mutual hold. Lara has her trapped in the triangle lock and Dolly is attempting an elongated body scissor.

She can’t hold it.

Lara “now” bends forward as she keeps the Triangle Choke.

She is now maneuvering Dolly around at will.

Dolly is in trouble.

Lara rolls herself on top of Dolly, triangle in place, bends forward to prevent any pull backs, squeezes and Dolly taps out.

3-0 for Lara (7:30).

At the halfway point, this match is essentially over. Based on our previous match viewing, Lara is not the type to let up on the gas and engage in chatter. If Dolly doesn’t keep her fighting spirit, we suspect Lara will completely dominate her.

Great match Lara.

Let’s go forward in time once more.

Andy, of the Czech Republic, is one of today’s rising stars.

ANDY VS GERMANY’S KINIKU

Virtually all holds are in, pin count to ten.

Most matches begin with hand fighting on their knees, but there is a slight departure here, as the tall women begin standing up and immediately begin head hunting.

They circle around in struggle. Andy tries to trip Kiniku, who in turn, tries to tackle the Czech beauty. As Kiniku is leaning over, trying to tackle, Andy smartly leaps and clasps her legs around Kiniku’s waist and takes her down with a crunching body scissor. The beautiful blonde squeezes and Kiniku taps out.

1-0 for Andy at 59 seconds.

They begin again.

Once again standing up. Antscha requests they start from their knees but they ignore her and remain standing.

Kiniku charges in, which is to be admired, but she lowers her head and makes it easy for Andy to capture her in a Guillotine hold. Kiniku aggressively tries to break the hold. They struggle and Andy switches to a headlock and takes the German beauty down to the mats. They tumble against the wall.

Kiniku manages to get on top, presses Andy down and the pin count begins. At the five count, Andy manages to get her shoulders up. The fight turns into full on grappling as Andy struggles underneath but Kiniku can’t seem to put the Czech princess away.

Andy fights her way to the top.

She begins to smother Kiniku. The German girl uses her muscles to push her way to the top. Unfortunately, she falls right into the legs of Andy, for a scissor, who is very good at closing when you make a mistake. She crunches hard and Kiniku immediately gives up.

2-0 for Andy (2:36).

Kiniku rubs her sides and is ready to go again.

Andy is playing keep away as Kiniku stalks her. Smiling, catch me if you can. Kiniku finally does catch her as she rushes the statuesque blonde but she lowers her head.

Again.

Andy captures her in a Guillotine type headlock, leads her around and then leaps and captures Kiniku in a crunching body scissor. Down the German girl goes.

Again.

Now Andy is in control. She rolls Kiniku on to her back and flattens her out. It is obvious what is coming next. She uses a smother pin to count Kiniku out at ten.

3-0 for Andy (3:54).

Andy stands and wanders. Kiniku laughs and shouts, “You look like I’m boring you”.

Andy smiles.

We won’t comment on that, but we have our thoughts.

Once again, Kiniku is the aggressor and comes in lowering her head. What is that expression about doing the same thing over and over again but expecting to get different results?

Andy captures a bent over Kiniku and takes her down. Kiniku is struggling underneath. It is hard not to notice how beautiful the German girl’s legs are in struggle. Andy rolls her into a side body scissor.

Andy is completely having her way with the energetic but ill-fated brunette.

She school girl sits Kiniku, grabs her wrists and Antscha slowly counts the German princess out at ten.

4-0 for Andy (5:49).

Antscha comments, “Very interesting”. Not sure what that means exactly. Don’t want to get too Freudian here. Our translation? Kiniku? I didn’t expect you to get your butt kicked so easily.

We didn’t either. At least not like this.

Time to engage once more.

Andy toys with Kiniku and plays keep away. Finally Kiniku changes pace and captures Andy from above and pulls the blonde’s head down.

Well, well, well. Look who finally showed up to the wrestling match.

They circle around as Kiniku is hanging on for dear life. She captures Andy from behind. Andy gave up her back. Can Kiniku do something with this?

Not a chance.

Andy easily breaks the hold then captures Kiniku in a headlock and takes the beautifully tanned brunette down to the mats.

They struggle some more. Wait. We take that back. Kiniku struggles some more. Andy leaps upon Kiniku’s back, dominating the German as she is bent over in the turtle position. It’s Andy’s world and Kiniku just happens to be in it.

Painfully so.

She pushes down on Kiniku’s head and rolls her into a side body scissor. Kiniku screams and taps out.

5-0 for the dominant Czech beauty (7:40).

SUMMARY

In the competitive sports world, we all love dynasties and winning traditions.

We are blessed to have girls from the Czech Republic wrestle at a high level, decades ago and today.

DWW’s Hana and Luzia got it started.

We were amazed and entertained by their beauty and dominance.

Given how the future female Czech stars have successfully followed in their footsteps, we feel the best is yet to come.
