INTRIGUING VIDEO

Goth Delilah vs Mel Fire caught our attention because when two girls who are newer on to the scene match up at a live audience event, we might get their best. Even though Goth Delilah has plied her trade primarily in the fantasy world, she is trained in Jiu-Jitsu and knows how to use it. Goth Delilah has skills and can be very good, when she wants to be. We tried to review her match against Bambi and it eventually descended in to girlie giggles.

Having said that, we wanted to see what happens here. This is a great and sexy ground level war of attrition competition. Both are skilled in MMA, one just a little better. Seriously taken right down to the end. We think you will approve.

HUGE NCAA WOMEN’S WRESTLING ANNOUNCEMENT

Women’s wrestling is moving towards being a major NCAA sport. Right now, the young women primarily compete in the NCWA or NAIA.

The National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) is a nonprofit association of 162 institutions, conferences, organizations and individuals that organize the wrestling programs of many colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. It is led by founder and executive director Jim Giunta headquartered in Dallas, Texas and built to help the promotion of collegiate wrestling.

In the 2007-2008 season, there were 7 women’s wrestling programs.

In the 2021-2022 season, there are 68.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) established in 1940, is a college athletics association for colleges and universities in North America.

Most colleges and universities in the NAIA offer athletic scholarships to their student athletes. $1.3 billion in athletic scholarship financial aid is awarded to student athletes annually.

For the 2023–24 season, it had 241 member institutions, of which two are in British Columbia, one in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the rest in the continental United States, with over 83,000 student-athletes participating. The NAIA, whose headquarters is in Kansas City, Missouri, sponsors 28 national championships. CBS Sports Network, formerly called CSTV, serves as the national media outlet for the NAIA.

The largest collegiate organization is the NCAA.

Drum roll please.

On February 7, 2024, at ncaa.org they announced, “Women’s wrestling on Wednesday took a big step toward becoming the 91st NCAA championship sport, with its projected first NCAA championship occurring in winter 2026.

The NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics voted at its meeting Wednesday to recommend Divisions I, II and III sponsor legislation to add a national collegiate women’s wrestling championship. The Association-wide committee oversees the Emerging Sports for Women program, which includes women’s wrestling.”

When Iowa, a power five school, fielded a women’s wrestling program, there was a line of thinking that other NCAA Power Five schools would follow. Thus far that has not materialized.

This announcement is a huge step that should influence other Power Five schools to strongly consider adding a women’s wrestling program.
