December 18, 2022,

While we wouldn’t say it sounds too good to be, we would say it does sound really good.

You pay one price for a membership and you have access to multiple gyms.

In multiple cities. Ideal for a global traveler like a Session Woman.

How does that sound to you?

Time to share an experience.

Tish used to go to a gym 5 minutes away by car.

She wasn’t crazy about the neighborhood but the gym, part of a regional chain, was fine. As long as they have the equipment she needs, which they did, she was happy. She attended about 5-6 days a week.

Yes, applause.

Then Covid hit.

The local gym closed down. She cancelled her membership.

For a time, Tish had to work out at home which is never the same as going to the gym.

Understandably her body regressed.

Once the Covid crisis passed, a team member from the regional gym’s corporate office contacted her and offered her a special.

That was the good news.

The bad news was that the local gym closed down and it would take her 20 minutes to get to the new corporate owned gym, but in all fairness, in a much nicer neighborhood with a much nicer clientele.

When talking to a neighbor who lived close to the old gym like she did, the neighbor previously traveled to the gym 20 minutes away anyway because she felt the local gym was too thuggish.

Point taken.

Tish tends to be diplomatic but if she was honest, she felt the same way and only attended in the mornings, never in the evenings.

The new gym, she attends any time of day.

After discussing Gympass, Tish felt it would be a great idea to pay one price and have the ability to attend different gyms including local ones of a different brand.

If we are understanding the concept, it is similar in concept to Timeshares and hotels.

For example, if you are a member of a certain hotel chain, you can attend their different star level of hotels, no matter what city you go to.

If you are a member of a hotel discount club, virtually any hotel qualifies for a discount if you book through them.

Got it.

Female grapplers and Session Women travel the world. Wouldn’t it be nice to attend a variety of gyms in virtually any city that you travel to and gain entry through your one time monthly fee?

Many appear to think so.

At gympass.com they educate, “Gympass is an all-in-one subscription bringing you the largest selection of gyms, studios, and apps. Gympass is the only corporate wellbeing platform that offers access to 50,000+ gyms and studios, 700+ activities, and the best wellbeing apps.”

One of the things we like about Gympass, like the PFL in the MMA world, is that they are always adding new partners, expanding and improving.

On December 1, 2022, an online website reported that Gympass will partner with CorePower Yoga.

Very good.

Now for the official announcement of another Gympass partnership.
