Session In Historic Philadelphia, Appreciate The Past, Neighborhood Eats, Open Pandora’s Box
September 4, 2023,
You would be hard pressed to find an American city more historic than Philadelphia.
Its historical tentacles go back hundreds of years.
No doubt, when you walk there, you will feel it. Like Europe, in Philadelphia, you walk with the past, not on it.
If you travel there for a session, and we know just the girl to recommend, one we’ve met before, you can make your own personal unforgettable history.
Time for some basics.
Philadelphia, commonly referred to as Philly, is the most populous city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the second-most populous city in both the Northeast megalopolis and Mid-Atlantic regions after New York City.
Philadelphia is the nation’s sixth-most populous city with a population of 1,603,797 as of the 2020 census.
Philadelphia is known for its extensive contributions to American history, especially the American Revolution, and for its contemporary influence in business and industry, culture, sports, and music.
This is really important.
Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn, an English Quaker and advocate of religious freedom.
The team at racc.edu adds, “ In the mid-1600s, a new, independent religious sect was founded whose values and beliefs went against the convention of the Church of England. This new sect called themselves the Society of Friends, or Quakers, whose faith and practices were so radical that persecution fell upon them. Ultimately, this persecution and their desire for spiritual freedom led them to flee England and establish a religious haven in Pennsylvania.”
No wonder, the pursuit of religious freedom, to this day, is important and protected in the United States.
It all started in Philadelphia.
The city served as the capital of the Pennsylvania Colony during the British colonial era and went on to play a historic and vital role as the central meeting place for the nation’s founding fathers whose plans and actions in Philadelphia ultimately inspired the American Revolution and the nation’s independence following the Revolutionary War.
The U.S. Constitution was later ratified in Philadelphia at the Philadelphia Convention of 1787 and it served as the nation’s first capital from May 10, 1775 until December 12, 1776.
So, there is a little bit of vital American history for you.
When you visit Philadelphia and have some fun, we suggest that you walk with the past as well.
It is an important one.
If you are traveling to Philadelphia for a session, it is important to have some fun as well.
Time to indulge.
What movie would best prepare you to feel the spirit of Philadelphia? Come on, that is easy.
Rocky is a 1976 American sports drama film directed by John G. Avildsen and written by and starring Sylvester Stallone.
It is the first (and we think, best) installment in the Rocky franchise and also stars Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, and Burgess Meredith.
In the film, Rocky Balboa (Stallone), a poor small-time club fighter and loan shark debt collector, gets an unlikely shot at the world heavyweight championship held by Apollo Creed (Weathers).
If you want to see Philly up close and be inspired to fulfill your dreams, sometimes accomplishing the impossible, you really need to see Rocky. We saw it on the big screen, at the theaters.
Now, that will build an appetite.
Invented in Philadelphia in the 1930s, the cheesesteak is the most well-known, and soft pretzels have long been a major part of Philadelphia culture.
First up is breakfast.
Let’s listen to the team at visitphilly.com who provide us with a napkin and share, “Whether short on time or simply seeking convenience, a smorgasbord of delicious breakfast options await in Philadelphia’s neighborhoods. Grab a bite from one of the popular spots in the iconic Reading Terminal Market or relax over coffee and a frittata within a sunny, chic spot such as Café Lift.”
Sounds good.
They are also kind enough to provide us with a link for brunch. Check it out. our guide to weekend brunch in Philadelphia.
We desire a little more.
One of the many places that Trip Advisor directs us to is Sabrina’s Café. Gotta luv the name.
About breakfast.
They are vegetarian friendly with vegan options and gluten free. That is a good start.
Trip Advisor shares from the breakfast menu, “All eggs are served with Sabrina’s homies* & your choice of toast – sourdough, multigrain/ gluten free sourdough $2; *fruit may be substituted for fried potatoes for $1.75; *egg whites may be substituted for $1.”
Delicious, delicious.
Here are a couple of reviews.
“Casual environment. LONGGGGG wait on Sunday which was the downfall. When we sat down, the food came out quickly and was prepared just as we ordered. Mikah was our server and was excellent. The food was so good we went back 3 days later!”
Okay, so they had to wait a little bit on the food. It’s Philly, a big city. Still, it was so good, they came back three days later.
One more.
“My husband and I walked here from Logan hotel. We sat outside (self-seat) as there was a wait for indoor seating at 11am on a Saturday. We were greeted ASAP and ordered breakfast tacos and the shrimp Po-boy. Both were mouth- watering and good.”
Outstanding.
That should fill you up. Why don’t we rest a little and then go to the session. We’ve met this Session Star and we were extremely impressed.
Give us a minute.
As you might guess, with a massive city like Philly, there are so many attractions. One attraction we suggest you absolutely visit is this one.
The wonderful world travelers at lonelyplanet.com recommend Independence National Historical Park, “This L-shaped Philadelphia park, bound by 6th, 2nd, Walnut and Arch Sts, protects and honors the institutions that formed the foundation of the United States. Every American school child knows the stories of the venerated monuments dotted around Independence National Historical Park, and the world-changing events that happened here; for outsiders, it’s a crash course in America’s founding legends.”
That is a must see attraction.
One more. From Amazon. We think this will greatly help.

Purchasing that item could make your trip so much easier.
Let’s take a nap and then open up Pandora’s Box.
That nap was refreshing. Time to meet an incredible Session Star in Pandora.
“Hey wrestling fans! I’ve been doing pro-style wrestling, boxing, and kick boxing, grappling, and session wrestling for a few years now. I have always been very athletic. (Gymnastics, cross country running, swimming, snow and water skiing…).
I am a competitive person and always appreciate a challenge. Most of my opponents underestimate my size, strength, and endurance, so victory is twice as sweet!
So if you are up for the challenge, bring it on!!! I am pretty flexible with a variety of wrestling sessions. So email me, introduce yourself, and let me know what kind of session wrestling you are interested in. Talk to you soon!”
Sounds like a very sexy challenge.
We have actually met Pandora twice and talk about irony. We first met Pandora when she wrestled Goldie at Jackpin’s masterful 2008 convention?
That is where FCI was formed.
After 27 years of working a 9-5 job, raising a family and being a leader in an international organized religion for over 20 years, our leader who formed FCI, was very stressed out. Once he attended Jackpin’s convention, he knew this was how he wanted to spend the rest of his life.
To this day, he shudders to think, given his then super conservative background, that he almost didn’t attend.
One of the matches that he remembers most was a special night session where he got to meet Pandora and Goldie as they welcomed the audience and put on one sexy wrestling match.
Pandora – right
FCI would again see Pandora at a wrestling event in Las Vegas, a city that she visits frequently, so if you are so inclined, you can session with her there as well.
Here are two reviews of customers, who like us, are crazy about Pandora.
“I had a session with Pandora and she is simply awesome. She will put you at ease and make you comfortable, and totally unprepared for all the tap outs you are guaranteed to experience. I was able to hold my own but I also knew she was holding back and if she wanted to make me pass out (any number of ways), I couldn’t do anything about it. Never the clock watcher, she is generous on so many levels it’s hard to describe. Smart, beautiful, and fun – you won’t be disappointed!”
We knew he would love her.
One more.
“I just had my third semi competitive wrestling session with Pandora. I’ve had many sessions over the years and I can say without doubt that Pandora is firmly at the top of my favorite list. For someone as petite as she is, she is incredibly strong, especially her chokes and scissors. She’s a talent, make no mistake. She is a great trash talker and enjoys putting you in your place. Lastly, she is above all, a lady. Please treat her as such and you’ll have a fantastic time.”
We completely agree. Very sweet, Very classy.
Pandora’s email is PandoraFights@yahoo.com
Wow, that was fun.
We’re hungry for dinner. Want to come along?
We think we found just the right place.
They have an eye for delicious food. The great minds at theinfatuation.com share, “The idea of a supper club, in theory, is simple: fantastic food in an atmosphere that feels more like a friend’s dining room than a restaurant. That’s where “Her Place comes in”. They serve a four-course, $85 tasting menu that changes every two weeks, and to get a reservation, you’ll need to be ready when they drop them on Sundays at 6pm.”
We get the point. Affectionately. You’ll feel more like you’re eating a meal at a chef’s house, complete with respectful and interesting dinner guests.
There you have.
Hope you’ve enjoyed our brief visit to Philadelphia. If you go, purchase that Lonely Planet guide book and stay awhile.
Not only will your visit be historic, for you, it will be a once in a lifetime experience you will never forget and always cherish.
