Land Of the Giants.

Was a great TV show in the 1960s?

Makes for great MMA viewing in the year 2025.

The PFL and UFC are the giants in the MMA industry with different stars and approaches that captivates audiences.

One such captivating star in the PFL is Dakota Ditcheva. Are you following her? You should.

Dakota Ditcheva is an English mixed martial artist and former Muay Thai fighter currently competing in the women’s Flyweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

She was part of the British team at the 2016 International Federation of Muaythai Amateur World Championships in Jönköping, Sweden, winning gold.

She is an overall three-time world champion in the junior divisions and Daily Mirror and Sport England Pride of Sports Young Sportsperson of the Year.

Before transitioning to professional mixed martial arts (MMA), Dakota competed in kickboxing and Muay Thai, winning championships in both disciplines.

She loves to land kicks at her opponent’s lower legs and the impact shows.

In July 2022, it was announced that Ditcheva had signed with PFL.

During her PFL MMA debut at PFL 9 in London, Dakota overcame Hassana Gaber with a first-round TKO. At the PFL 10 preliminary card, she achieved a first-round knockout against Katherine Corogenes, marking her sixth knockout win in her professional career.

Extremely impressive.

We have watched her video and she is an incredible machine of destruction. Her match against a super star like Talia Santos was amazing and frightening to watch.

Taila Santos is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently competes in the women’s Flyweight division of the Professional Fighters League (PFL). She formerly competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where she challenged for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship in June 2022.

On January 15, 2025, it was announced that Santos will join the 2025 PFL World Tournament in their flyweight division.

See what we mean by super star.

Against Dakota, she withstood some early blows, until she couldn’t.

At a stellar 14-0, almost unheard of in today’s MMA world where virtually everyone has a loss, Dakota is ascending. Mightily.

As a result, here is some major possibilities as reported by ESPN, “Dakota Ditcheva, who has been discussed as the best women’s fighter in the world to not compete in the UFC following her dominant PFL title win last week, revealed Friday that the UFC made a play to acquire her through a potential trade.”

Sounds intriguing. Keep watching Dakota’s career.
