October 7, 2024,

It depends upon what you want.

Doesn’t it always.

Regarding that subject, always aim high.

In virtually all pathways of life, someone is responsible for getting results. Not getting results can have dire consequences. So, if you are in a situation or situations where you need to get results, take steps to get the best results possible and even if you fall short, no one will know what you had in mind but they may be happy with the outcome anyway.

You as well.

Think about some possible past scenarios.

You tell your loved one you expect a raise. In your mind you expect it to be six percent. Some take the strategy to tell their loved one it will be three percent. Sell it hard. Then when it comes back at four percent, your loved one is elated. Heaven forbid, if it comes back at six percent, they are ecstatic.

Remember, aim high.

If you are a female submission wrestler or fitness athlete, it is important to set the expectation bar high to reach desirable goals.

If you know you are going to be invited to an event and there are going to be newer girls there, they are several things you can do previous to the match to give you a greater chance of winning. Here are a few suggestions.

Initially it is all about you. In today’s environment, you know that MMA Jiu-Jitsu training is critical. Obtain as much training as possible. Really go for it early. Your local Dojo can be an exceptional place to seek a professional who is trained in Martial Arts and can be extremely helpful to you.

If you have a male friend who has wrestled, that is a great place to get a beginning start as well. He most likely will be stronger than you thus, when you come up against other women, they will most likely not be as strong as him. That could be to your advantage.

This may not be realistic but remember, here we aim high. If you know some of the other female wrestlers who will be attending, try and study some of their previous videos. They are most likely people in the industry that you know. If it is within your budget, purchasing can be wonderful as well. Believe us, since we do reviews, their tapes can be extremely helpful.

Can you imagine a NFL team getting ready to study an opponent without looking at film? Unheard of.

So, if you watch their film, there is something you might see. A tell, so to speak. A pattern of behavior.

Here is an example of style when DWW legend Eva N. met rising star Andy.

“Eva already makes the mistake of keeping her arms at her chest while Andy immediately head hunts and is the aggressor. Eva starts to back up, trying to get away, but Andy is relentless.

If Eva remotely thought that Andy may be intimidated by her DWW lore, she should quickly think again.

As Eva struggles to get away, she gives up her back and Andy is more than happy to aggressively take it. She pulls Eva backward into a behind the back, then side scissor, while Eva uses her experience and left arm to prevent a full scissor brutality. Having said, that, Eva is clearly in trouble.”

Something becomes clear when watching Eva N. is that she doesn’t know MMA, which will give you a great advantage if you do. She tends to start off passively so be very aggressive from the start and she has a tendency to give up her back. Wouldn’t it be better to know these things ahead of time rather than trying to figure them out on the fly?

Let’s keep thinking about getting great results. Let’s walk over to the book store.

Aim High: Irish Sports Stars, Trailblazers and Mavericks Hardcover – December 19, 2020

By Donny Mahoney (Author), Eoin Coveney (Illustrator)

“Meet the Irish men and women who aimed high in the sport they love. From Dan Donnelly, our first heavyweight boxing champion, to our greatest runner, Sonia O’Sullivan. From Brian O’Driscoll’s amazing rugby performances to Rosemary Smyth’s rally driving brilliance. From the heroic rowing of the O’Donoval brothers to the our women’s hockey team: the first ever Irish team to reach a world final. Featuring many people whose achievements have fallen from view, such as Anne O’Brien (the first Irish female professional football player) and Francie Barrett, the first traveller to represent Ireland at the Olympic Games.

The remarkable stories of these trailblazers from throughout Ireland will inspire and excite children of all ages.”

Wonderful.

Very athletic. Very inspiring.

Time for one more look at aiming high. Seeking greater results.

Conditioning is critical.

You can have all of the training and strategy you want but in the later rounds of the match, especially in warm London, you are going to need exceptional conditioning. Believe it. Get your running and cardio in big time. We have seen many a match where two girls, close in skill, engage in a close battle but one begins to tire, need breaks, wipes the sweat off of her brow and begins to get submitted often in the latter rounds. Here is an example between the legendary Justice and new girl Harlequin.

“What was once a closely contested fight at the six minute mark, in the next six minutes, four more submissions have occurred. It is now officially a blowout. While she has her energy, Harlequin is pretty tough. Once it fades, so does she.

Justice is toying with her as she opens up the playbook. She flattens Harlequin out on her stomach and performs a Full-Nelson backbreaker. It is too much for the feminine beauty and she gives.”

See what we mean?

Perhaps learn from this.

We suggest that you take your female submission wrestling seriously. It is an incredible sport. You most likely will find it very satisfying if you take it seriously.

Always remember, you will get much better results, if from the beginning, you aim high.
