When it comes to fully competitive female submission wrestling, we like it real.

Very real.

It is when two female strangers stop being polite to one another and get aggressive.

Angry, even.

The concept is not new.

MTV’s The Real World was inspired by the 1973 PBS documentary series An American Family.

It focuses on the lives of a group of strangers who audition to live together in a house for several months, as cameras record their interpersonal relationships. The show moves to a different city each season.

We’re going by memory here, but in the early years, our interpretation of the tagline was, when people stop being polite and get real.

Something like that.

Say what you will about watching the Kardashians, which we have done and still do, many of the female family members keep the details of their personal relationships off camera.

Too bad.

The one family member who seemed to let us in, behind the scenes was Kourtney and her relationship with Scott Disick. Those two went at it so often, things got really intense. They seemed to keep it real. For us, it was one of the storylines we were intensely drawn to.

That is one of the reasons why we love our fully competitive female wrestling industry.

At times, things get angry and real.

Ready to walk down memory lane?

GERMANY’S KARINE VS AMERICA’S NIKKI FIERCE

This took place at the legendary Berlin Expo.

Facing the sensuous feminine American, even with her wrist bandaged, Karine, the German star appears very confident. Nikki is all smiles. We hope it stays that way.

As the female warriors begin to circle one another, Nikki opens with an unorthodox fighting style with her arm spread wide in cat like fashion.

There is a clear sensual visual contrast as Karine is stealth and beautifully tanned while Nikki is fit, shapely and sweetly packaged in porcelain skin.

Yes, Nikki is circling in a fighting position but she is not aggressive so Karine initiates the action by simultaneously going for both Nikki’s head and legs as she tips the blonde and down Nikki goes.

Now on top, Karine not only seems to be going for a submission hold but applies a touch of cruelty as well by harshly pressing Nikki’s face. She then tries to pull Nikki back with a rear body scissors yet Nikki escapes. Now it’s Nikki’s turn to be the aggressor and she begins to take it to Karine even using her feet for some payback to press Karine’s face.

Karine fights back and takes the advantage with an unusually painful floor to neck scissors that shocks Nikki down to her knees. Now Karine is back on top with a potential humiliating but sensuous face sit.

She fiercely (pun intended) grabs Nikki’s arm using it like a circular tightly woven neck tie in vice lock fashion forcing Nikki to tap out as the feminine blonde’s nose is hurt in the process.

Nikki stands, tears streaming down her face.

She decides to retire.

The referee raises Karine’s arm in victory. Afterwards the two girls do not shake hands. Karine concludes the surprisingly short 5 minute match with a Cheshire grin.

Very exciting match. That was keeping it real.

Karine did not make every big girl cry, even when they had to give up, which seems to be a consistent element in Karine’s rough matches.

Another consistent aspect to the gorgeous German maiden’s wrestling is that she fights angry. Her rage against Zambia is an all-time classic. That is story for another time.

RINGMASTER KRISSY VS VIRAGO’S GRACE

This took place at the masterful 2008 Jackpin Convention.

FCI was there.

During the day, we remember Krissy standing in the corner of the ring before the match began, looking confident and sexy, knowing all eyes were watching her. Against the legendary Grace, it was a great struggle but the decision by Krissy not to take MMA training worked against her. She wanted chokes taken out of the match and when Grace accidently choked her, Krissy made it clear not to do that again. She explained very intensely to Grace with hand motions and a distinct tone that she was serious and Grace remained silent and attentive.

CZECH JULIE SILVIE VS HUNGARY’S KIM

This took place at one of Antscha’s events in Hungary.

As Antscha provides the instructions, both women have intriguing looks on their faces.

Both appear confident as Julie stands there, occasionally peeking over at Kim, who only looks at the camera as she flexes those well-earned muscles in the gym.

One thing is clear early on.

Julie is larger and taller than Kim.

Who is more determined?

The two warriors will begin on their knees.

They begin with upper body hand fighting and Julie maintains this very strange smile or her face as she fights off Kim’s attack.

Kim forcefully attempts a headlock and Julie pushes her off and in the process grabs Kim from behind.

Julie really appears to be enjoying this, as on her knees, she bear hugs Kim from the back.

Like wrapping up her prey, the beautiful shapely larger red head has Kim trapped underneath as she takes the brunette down to the mats and lands on top of her.

Full of fight, Kim manages to get to her knees and remains undaunted but also remains trapped. Julie is absolutely not letting go of Kim’s arm.

Kim does break free and even attempts a side cross body pin, mostly for positioning.

Julie is just too strong, on her back, encasing Kim in a floor to kneeling body scissors, squeezes mightily and Kim painfully taps out.

1-0 for Julie (2:35).

As they ready to engage, Kim quickly grabs Julie’s wrists and pulls her downward and forward. This is often a good move for Kim but Julie is just too strong and any advantage that Kim has is very short lived.

Once again Julie out maneuvers her and Kim gives up her back.

Julie begins to control struggling Kim from behind with a clear plan in mind. She initially is controlling the smaller athlete with her arms and wrist grabbing but that is only a prelude to Julie using those long strong legs to crush Kim.

Julie pushes Kim’s head into an upper head scissor and fortunately for Kim, she manages to slip her right arm inside of those legs, otherwise her head would be crushed like a grape.

Like a beautiful butterfly trapped in an expansive web, Kim lurches to her knees to try and break free only to have Julie keep control and snatch her back into the web. The blood curdling scream is soon coming. We can feel it.

Julie now has Kim constricted in a triangle choke and it is time to wrap up the prey.

Kim taps out.

2-0 for Julie (4:38).

Well, things are clearly going Julie’s way and her steady polite stare at Kim indicates that.

Kim begins to fix her hair and readies herself but we sense she didn’t realize what she was up against here.

As they begin, Kim again quickly grabs Julie’s wrists and pulls Julie downward, but no matter. Once on her back, she tightly clasps Kim around the waist with another powerful body scissors and has Kim grimacing.

Now for a surprise.

Instead of repeating the first submission, Julie quickly grabs Kim from behind the calves and ankles, pushes her backwards and is quickly and erotically on top of her.

Kim has beautiful tanned athletic legs and begins to gently kick them trying to escape from being underneath Julie.

The larger red head is determined and relentless. She has Kim in the underneath smother position and is not going to let her escape. She is not in a rush and slowly begins to apply a bear hug smother.

Antscha begins to count Kim out, who makes a feeble attempt at escape, as she submissively lies underneath the shapely porcelain Julie who looks incredibly sexy in her confident dominant application.

Kim is counted out.

3-0 for Julie (5:48).

Before each round begins, Kim approaches it with that friendly hand slap, touch fists, explode the rock approach.

Julie is not buying that. Not interested. She participates but doesn’t close her fist but meets Kim’s friendly fist with her palm out.

Message received.

This time Kim head hunts and takes Julie down with a headlock.

Julie quickly rallies from the bottom and attempts a legs over the shoulder and head clasp and gets it right the second time, taking Kim down to the mats in another brutal head scissor.

Julie slides it into a super tight triangle choke and maneuvers Kim at will, as though in the clutches of a python.

Kim is patient.

Kim is determined. She better be.

She is getting dominated on her own Hungarian turf, which could be a little embarrassing.

Up against the wall, symbolically and literally, Kim breaks the hold.

Not for long.

Julie fights her off and forcefully takes Kim down to the mat with anger. As she sits on top of the tiring Kim, she angrily says, “Don’t punch me. Do it again and I will hit (or hurt) you. Okay”?

Kim keeps her arms in a blocking position and says nothing.

Good idea Kim. Very wise.

Silence is golden.

HONORABLE MENTION, EMI VS KIRSTY

The Canadian company Femwin reported, “This is as much a fight as a wrestling match as Emi’s out for revenge on Kirsty whom she thinks was particularly mean to Chihiro in an earlier match. To be honest, the rules weren’t made clear and Emi applies some dangerous holds that probably shouldn’t have been allowed. This includes a couple of scary leg locks that really hurt and angered Kirsty! After the second leg lock Kirsty’s swearing at Emi and kicks at her after being released. If Kirsty hadn’t been hurt so bad it could have turned into a street fight! Emi also slams Kirsty to the mat a couple of times which doesn’t do anything to improve the mood between the two!”

We purchased this match and, while some producers exaggerate a match to make a sale, trust us, this description is no exaggeration. Kirsty was furious and actually stomped Emi.

Ouch.
