August 18, 2024,

Should you care what others think about you?

Well, it depends.

If you’re the head of a company? The boss? Probably not too much.

If you are a newer Social Media star? Absolutely.

What about a female submission wrestler? Probably not a lot, unless you provide Sessions. Then, as a Session Provider, you care about your reviews.

Today we have two of our favorite female submission wrestlers in Dolly vs Kimbra. FCI has written a ton about both of them. More about Dolly. View that as a compliment. The worst thing in our media driven industry is when no one is talking about you.

What has been said about Dolly?

DOLLY QUOTES

“The hope that Andy has today is that Dolly is a great front runner but when the match is tight, our Hungarian beauty tends to tighten up. She begins to wrestle not to lose as opposed to taking risks to win.”

We said that.

Here is another.

“We have endlessly chronicled that she is a star on the rise. We still feel that way. Against the elite, she is just getting there a little slower than we thought she would.”

“Here against Dolly, she stands a chance. Why? Because sometimes we don’t know which Dolly is going to show up. Understand what we are saying. Dolly is a hard worker, not a talker during matches (mercifully) and always gives her best.

Our point is, though she gives her best, it is not always her top performance. She can vary. Her match against Czech Republic’s Julie Sylvie is a testament to that. Simply put, Julie Sylvie woman handled her. Kept Dolly on the bottom of those historic blue mats at Antscha’s studio.”

“Dolly is muscular, athletic, incredibly good looking (like an action movie star), feminine, has a hard work ethic and from time to time, gives you a glimmer of hope that she will rise to another level. In our opinion?

Because of all of those things, beautiful Dolly is worth the wait.”

“Bianca wins because she kept Dolly on her back, literally, for 95% of the match. After her dominant victory, Bianca praises Dolly for being resilient.”

Worth the wait? Interesting commentary. It implies that she has not arrived, at least not fully. To this day, we would agree with that. Dolly has not reached her full potential. Simply put, with girls at her level, she mostly loses. Orsi B. absolutely demolished her, as though she had a point to prove.

Today, in facing Kimbra, does she have a point to prove?

Let’s peek at Kimbra. Here are two quotes.

First, from FCI back in November of 2014, “A skilled application of wrestling holds, exceptional perseverance, mental toughness and a keen sense of how to close out a submission move is the hallmark qualities of a competitor who has been trained in the elite DWW women’s wrestling program.

Being trained in the DWW program is like participating in the SEC in college football, Tennessee and UConn in women’s collegiate basketball or Oklahoma, Brock, Simon Fraser and King University in women’s collegiate freestyle wrestling. When you can excel in their programs, you can perform at an elite level anywhere else.

Kimbra is one of the newer generations of DWW graduates and regarding her tough wrestling style, praise is coming in from all over the globe and more importantly outside of the local tribe.”

Another one.

“A former DWW Warrior, Kimbra has been waging wrestling wars for over a decade. She is very good. We hesitate to say elite because sometimes she is inconsistent. On the one hand she can tie a great retired wrestler like Axa Jay and then curiously lose to a fantasy wrestler, turned competitive, in England’s Jade.”

Good to know.

Both have not reached their full potential but Kimbra is absolutely more consistent, at a higher level, than Dolly.

Based upon that, we expect Kimbra to win today. Maybe Dolly will prove us wrong. Time to go ringside.

KIMBRA VS DOLLY

There are no long introductions here. Given their extensive resumes, none is needed.

As the two legends begin on their knees, Dolly is immediately in a passive position. When she feels she has a shot or something to prove, as she did against Warrior Amazon, she is very aggressive.

Not today.

Hopefully this is not a signal of things to come. Dolly does not fight well from behind. She is a very good frontrunner but rarely comes from behind.

Kimbra is getting this party started early. She is the aggressor, leaps and twirls around Dolly’s head and neck area, forcefully taking the gorgeous brunette down to the mats. She elongates Dolly, and from the top, presses down upon her. Dolly immediately uses her arms for a fence, which prevents the smother, but not the pin.

Dolly is counted out at ten.

1-0 for Kimbra (1:04).

That came quickly. That is not a good sign for the brunette muscle girl.

They engage.

Once again, Kimbra leaps up top and grabs Dolly from behind, brutally taking her down to the mats. The DWW legend is in complete control as she slices Dolly up in a side and forceful neck choke.

Once again, Dolly is in big trouble. As Dolly tries to part Kimbra’s lock, her powerful biceps flex on demand.

Wonderful.

Can she pick the lock?

She does. The audience applauds, but she is still trapped in an excruciating scissor. The combination hold is hard to beat. Kimbra squeezes hard up top and Dolly taps out.

2-0 for Kimbra (2:28).

Time to fight.

This time Dolly is more aggressive and a uses her right arm to bull dog Kimbra down to the mats in a headlock. Dolly is very determined as she squeezes from the top. Dolly expands her charge to a full smother position as Kimbra scissors her right leg. Dolly is squeezing hard and keeps the pressure on. Antscha begins a pin count that ends at three.

Dolly is still in control.

Or not.

Kimbra surprises her and rolls her over. Dolly maintains both the scissors and neck squeeze holds, but she is doing it from the bottom. A very tenuous proposition with a veteran like Kimbra.

Kimbra fully breaks the hold and now has the top position. What a major opportunity lost for Dolly. Now comfortably in control, Kimbra sits on top of Dolly, contemplating her next move, missiles down and goes for the smother. Dolly fences her arms to try and block Kimbra off as the HWW legend also applies a grapevine for good measure and Dolly is counted out at ten.

3-0 Kimbra leads (4:38).

Ready, set, go.

Kimbra gets a little cocky here, even smiling, as she pulls Dolly forward into a floor to sitting upper leg head scissor. From our view, stay with what works until you completely demoralize your opponent. If they can’t stop what has been working, why change?

Apparently, Kimbra is so confident, she is willing to take that risk.

Dolly is now fighting from the bottom. From her back, she uses her legs to try and keep Kimbra at bay. The DWW legend is having none of it, sweeps Dolly’s legs to the side and falls on top of her. Normally Dolly would be in big trouble but she swiftly traps Kimbra in a Guillotine Choke as the Hungarian star fell forward.

Can Dolly make that choke hold up from the bottom?

She is trying so hard, you can see her muscles bulging. Hello Dolly. Hang in there Dolly. It’s so nice to have you back where you belong.

Kimbra is groaning but manages to get to her knees. Super. She finally pulls out of Dolly’s grasp and the audience applauds as she now sits on Dolly’s face. In response, Dolly quickly lifts her legs over to try and capture the forward bending Kimbra in a head scissor. Kimbra easily avoids that, twirls, and comes in for the patented smoother.

Dolly tries to fence her off but there is a whole in the fence. As Kimbra comes forward for another smother, Dolly seizes her in a brutal headlock.

Very good move.

Can she sustain it though?

They struggle. Dolly is holding on to that headlock for dear life but you get the sense she needs to close the deal quickly. Kimbra is too adept at hanging in there and breaking holds.

They struggle more. Kimbra is gaining ground. She breaks the hold.

Once more, Dolly is in trouble.

Kimbra is in control. She circles around, face sits Dolly, leans forward and begins to squeeze. From the top position she is formidable and Dolly is grimacing. The beautiful dark brunette uses her right arm to slice in between the force of Kimbra’s thighs. Will it be enough?

Kimbra rolls Dolly into a painful side head scissor. Dolly struggles mightily. She manages to get to her knees and attempts to apply a mutual scissor on Kimbra, who fights from the bottom. A war of attrition begins.

And ends.

Very quickly.

Dolly taps out.

4-0 for Kimbra (8:43).

They start the next round with upper Greco arm and shoulder struggle. Kimbra pulls Dolly downward and Dolly gladly goes forward.

They struggle.

Dolly appears to have no real plan but what is Kimbra up to. She keeps moving her legs upward, above Dolly’s shoulders and applies a leg Triangle Choke. Interesting. Opening up the playbook. Kimbra keeps Dolly’s head pinned down. The beautiful muscle girl is desperately trying to escape and finally does.

Now, Kimbra may have to pay the price for fighting from the bottom. Always a mediocre idea at best. If you lose your hold, your opponent is right on top of you.

Dolly is right on top of Kimbra.

Going for a smother.

Kimbra is in trouble. Or is she?

Antscha starts a pin count. Kimbra is very determined and escapes at six.

We applaud Kimbra very loudly for not being condescending and giving Dolly a gift submission because she already won the fight. Make Dolly earn it. That will be good for her. Give Dolly credit. We have seen her give up when she is far behind, but not today.

Can she earn one submission?

She is grinding a final headlock mightily. Dolly is grimacing with effort. Will it pay off?

Not today.

Kimbra gets her desired goose egg for her opponent.

Great match. Though lopsided in score, it was tough on the squared circle.
