Croatia’s Rage Vs Hungary’s Dolly, Over Achiever Surprise, 2,000 Words
December 6, 2023,
Even if we don’t say it out loud, we know, that you know, that we know, that you absolutely know, what we are thinking. And, regarding this matchup, what you are thinking.
You know what we mean?
When it comes to Rage vs Dolly, we know that Dolly is going to win.
A Dolly match has few surprises.
Still, we don’t want to sound dismissive to Rage, so we will alter that to, Dolly should win.
Fair enough? Respectful enough?
Why?
First of all, Dolly’s body is much stronger.
Rage has more experience and probably a slightly higher skill level but against a muscle bunny machine like Dolly, her body is beautiful, but too feminine. Too, Rage could be described as a super sexy fantasy girl, where she has plied much of her wrestling trade.
Dolly is a gorgeous Session Woman, but competitive wrestling is her main dish. With these two sexy girls, a dish served hot.
Could we be wrong?
We don’t think so.
Time to find out.
DOLLY VS RAGE
The two beauties begin their ring match on their knees.
As they hand fight, then engage, both go for headlocks, as they should, and the stronger Dolly wins the top position. Rage is hanging on with a one arm headlock.
Dolly takes her down to the mats.
She soon encases the Croatian beauty into a side body scissors and fortunately for Rage, she has her left arm inside, blocking the full crunching leverage. She is clearly in pain but won’t give in.
Dolly lets go of the hold but still remains in the top position.
Rage, underneath, is in the turtle position. Dolly takes advantage of that and rides her from behind, setting Rage up for a rear naked choke.
She succeeds. Pulls backwards and Rage taps out.
1-0 for Dolly (1:55).
They re-engage.
Dolly immediately traps Rage in a headlock.
The two tumble into the ropes with Dolly on top with the fierce headlock. This can’t last long.
It doesn’t.
Rage gasps, finding it hard to breath and taps out.
Dolly leads 2-0 (2:36).
Once the fighting starts, both Dolly and Rage clasp each other from behind the neck. Rage appears to have the better of the grasp as she pulls Dolly forward and semi-encases her with a scissor that she is trying to transfer into a triangle choke coupled with an arm lock.
This is high risk for Rage because if the hold doesn’t secure a submission, the stronger Dolly is right on top of her.
It doesn’t work.
The stronger Dolly does a flip and is now sitting, facing Rage’s feet, on Rage’s stomach and chest area, ready to open up the playbook.
They struggle.
Dolly eventually breaks through Rage’s defenses and now is in the smother position as Rage desperately tries to fight her off.
Rage’s one saving grace is that she leg locks Dolly left leg to prevent a full frontal attack. She also clasps her arms in the fence position blocking Dolly as well. Her defensive persistence pays off.
Rage breaks the hold (5:00).
In terms of what Rage is about to do, time for some qualifiers. Ready (eye brows gently raised)?
We love Rage. Truly.
She is gorgeous, absolutely.
She’s a very good wrestler. Sincerely.
Is there a but coming?
Of course.
But, in our humble opinion, Rage has developed a very bad habit of starting engagement from the sitting position, daring her opponent to be the aggressor. She makes it clear she is going to use her legs as a weapon to fight them off.
Why start engagement from a defensive position?
Now that may work against a wrestler at mid-entry level, but not someone at Dolly’s level or above.
The great problem with that low risk reward passive approach is that if you start form the bottom and your opponent is on her knees above you, once the engagement starts, who is most likely to end up on their back? Who is most likely to be on top?
Those are not trick questions.
So, here we go again.
Rage is in the sitting position as Dolly stalks her from above. Rage pulls Dolly forward in arm lock fashion and where does Dolly end up?
On top of Rage.
With her forearm on Rage’s throat.
Rage manages to survive Dolly’s onslaught and now begins the next encounter on her knees at the same level as Dolly (6:00).
Rage clasps with Dolly at the neck and head level. Dolly is too strong so Rage falls back on to the floor, using her legs as defensive weapons, grabbing at Dolly’s wrists and Dolly wisely finding the balance of staying close, yet far enough away.
Finally Rage does what she should have done all along and that is lunge towards Dolly and push her backwards. This works to perfection and for one of the few times in the match?
Rage is on top of Dolly.
In the cross body pin position.
What will she do with it?
She fights from above trying to encase Dolly in a rear naked choke.
She achieves that.
Dolly is in trouble, her face reddening as Rage tightens the choke. Dolly tries to flip her over, and successfully does, but Rage is wise enough to hold on to that choke.
Now Rage does something even wiser.
She turns this into a combination hold with a choke and body scissor. There is no escape for Dolly. The Hungarian princess taps out. Well done Rage. Bravo.
2-1, Dolly leads (7:35).
Time to begin. Again.
This time Rage wisely engages on one knee. Dolly is restrained. There is lots of wrist grabbing attempts by Rage. When she falls and falls backward, she doesn’t stay on the floor.
Very good.
She engages from the knee.
The challenge for her now is that Dolly is stronger up top, so while it is better to engage in an upper body and behind the neck struggle, than fighting from the floor, still, with those titanic muscles, its advantage Dolly.
Dolly pushes forward and takes Rage down to the mats with a brutal headlock. Most important, Dolly’s body is on top, smashing Rage’s face for leverage.
Rage is trouble.
Still, she is a fighter.
To our shock, she slides from underneath Dolly’s headlock and quickly traps the dark brunette in a side body scissor and headlock combination. Sure didn’t see that coming.
Well done Rage.
Still Dolly doesn’t submit.
If there was one small mistake in Rage’s efforts, as Ron, owner of one of the greatest amateur female wrestling sites in Cal Supreme, used to say, elongate your legs, squeeze and she will tap out.
Rage did not elongate her legs to squeeze that stomach line and rib cage.
When she finally does, she has given Dolly too much time to rest.
Dolly escapes the headlock and now has Rage in a mutual headlock, trying to twist her body on top of Rage.
This is professional submission wrestling but you never know how important a match is to someone and what they have to prove. If this is important to Rage?
She needs this submission here if she has any chance of winning. Heaven forbid if Dolly gets it.
It’s game over.
Rage is not going to come from behind and obtain three submissions from Dolly in approximately 8 minutes. Not going to happen.
She needs to take her stand here, tie it up at 2-2 and Dolly will begin to make mistakes.
Dolly is trapped in those scissors, for control only, not pain, and she is now beginning to take control of the upper shoulder and head struggle, encasing Rage in an increasingly painful headlock, from the top position.
The struggle continues.
And continues.
Both beautiful girls seem to be aware of the magnitude of this next submission as they are both fighting hard for it.
Rage elongates that side body scissor and Dolly grimaces.
Rage now makes a huge mistake.
She holds onto the body scissor but in the form of a floor to kneeling body scissors with Dolly now smashing down from the top. A floor to sitting or kneeling body scissors, in terms of pain and pressure, with a wrestler with Abs of steel like Dolly is virtually meaningless.
Dolly is the one in control now. The female warrior now gets to her knees. Rage tries to maintain the scissors but it is tenuous at best.
Now that the former struggle is done, Rages attempts a triangle choke from the bottom.
She smartly grabs Dolly’s left arm for a lock in combo.
They struggle.
Both beautiful girls are glistening with sweat and breathing heavily. Especially Rage.
She continues to try and squeeze Dolly out with that triangle choke.
They struggle.
Breathe hard.
More struggle.
Rage is clearly tiring but does not give up. She pulls on Dolly’s arm and squeezes harder. This war of attrition is finally over.
Dolly taps out.
Wow, unbelievable.
It is now knotted at 2-2 (13:07).
Amazing.
We truly have a fight on our hands. Who would have thought? As a famous German tennis player said, when you get to the tie-breaker in the deciding set, it’s not about tennis.
Completely agree.
Both girls are tired here and now the real fight will be in the mind. They are more evenly matched than we thought and as we said from the beginning, “Rage has more experience and probably a slightly higher skill level”.
Now, our initial words, without previously seeing this match, appears a little prophetic. As in tennis, now it is about who is going to force who to play to their strengths.
Dolly has the muscles.
Rage has the skills.
Now, this is not about wrestling. In the last 5 minutes of this incredible match, we’re going to find out who is mentally tougher.
Don’t touch that remote. Sit back and watch.
Time to engage.
They begin with wrist grabbing attempts and out of nowhere, Dolly leaps at Rage’s head and partially takes her down. Rage has the presence of mind to block Dolly with her legs and fight her off.
Rage breaks away from Dolly’s surprise assault.
They circle one another. Rage is fighting from the sitting position. Hopefully not for long.
Dolly grabs Rage’s wrists and pulls her downward and forward. To cement the submission combo deal, the Hungarian star tries to trap Rage in a body scissor, but to our surprise, Rage swats Dolly’s right leg back over Dolly’s body, lunges forward and now she is on top of Dolly and closing in for the kill.
A shocker.
They both have mutual headlocks but Rage is applying hers from the top position.
Rage forces Dolly’s arms apart and now slides forward on top of Dolly’s chest and takes control.
Dolly is in trouble.
Be patient Rage. Don’t fool around and open up the playbook. Stay on top of Dolly’s chest and keep pressuring that lock and smother in a war of attrition. Twice now Dolly attempts to raise her legs to undercut Rage beneath the arms and pull her backwards.
Twice she fails.
Rage now does something very important. She stays with the smother attempt and slides her arms behind Dolly’s neck and head and is pressing down and pulling Dolly’s head forward to smother her out.
They struggle for what seems like an eternity.
Dolly has wisely locked her arms in a fenced position, blocking the smother.
The struggle continues.
Rage is the aggressor as she contemplates a triangle choke from the top.
Dolly refuses to let that happen.
The struggle continues.
Until it doesn’t.
Time is called, the match is over.
SUMMARY
This is why you play the games.
Indeed.
We didn’t see this one coming.
We stand in applause for Rage because, for us, this was so unexpected.
She is good. We always knew that, but this by far was her best performance. This match took everything physically and mentally for the Croatian star to cement her intermediate status.
For Dolly, even though this wasn’t a loss, it was close.
We don’t like moral victories, but for Rage, this was one.
Dolly is very consistent. She is a much better front runner than a side to side combatant or a fighter who has fallen behind. Dolly gave a solid performance and here, it wasn’t like she wrestled poorly, it was that Rage completely upped her game and out fought her.
Dolly was fortunate she didn’t lose this match.
When Rage fell behind 2-0, we thought it was over but through grit and determination she fought back into this one.
She forced Dolly to play to her strengths instead of the other way around.
Great match from both but by far this was Rage’s best performance.
